I bought 6 months back, and it worked just OK. I had problems with answering machine from the beginning, but did not care much. Now it suddenly fails to register handsets. The base unit is heating up. Philips support folks say that heating of base unit means the unit itself got damaged and it should be thrown into bin. They don;t want to cover it under 1-yr guarantee. I'm very disappointed for paying huge bucks for such a crap piece Don't buy it

Very disappointed by this telephone. The sound is not brillant and the answering machine is absolutely inaudible. Don't buy it. SP

We bought this duo earlier this year and have used them successfully for the last 5 months. However last week they just stopped working. There was no signal, nothing but dead handsets. We worked our way tho the hand book trying to solve the problem without any joy. We found a helpline to ring but it's a premium number so we have decided to cut our losses and buy something else. It's a shame because when the phones were working they were fine and we had no complaints. It's rather put us off Phillips.
