Advantages: HD sound, good calling quality and durable Disadvantages: Battery life, colour and buttons a bit bland
For a while I was on the hunt for a stylish yet good quality phone, and I could not get past the price differentials for the cordless phones on the market. All the really sleak slim and sexy tyoe phones weren't around for very long, yet they all lacked in quality. This set however, is excellent if quality is what you are after. When you listen to the HD sound, you can leave it one handsfree and clearly converse with the caller almost as if they are ... ...a typical dect phone together with a 15 min anwering machine. It is limited in ringtones, the extended features, but for quality of use, ease of use and value for money it is an excellent choice. I intended to buy 2 possibly 3 handsets within a set budget, and I ended up getting 4 with excellent quality of voice. Battery life, however, could have been a bit longer. ...

I'm a great admirer of Phillips products and I wanted a phone with an illuminated keypad and this baby is certainly that, it lights the house up. The drawback is the display screen, I cannot make out the text on the blue background, it impossible to identify a caller and see what number you are entering on the phone. A different approach Phillips re the keypad but your display and poor battery life lets this phone down badly. ...

Advantages: OK if just used with the handset with easy to use recorder. Disadvantages: Very poor hands free sound quality and volume.Range not good.
The CD445 has a lot going for it but I will still be returning it for the following reasons.
The range is not as good ie. would only work well through one block wall up to approx 6 mtrs.
I use hands free a lot but the maximum volume , both on hook and the handset is far too quiet (and "tinny") -unusable.
On hook dialling is annoying because the base unit slides away with each press of the keys.
The display uses a large font with time and date ...
