Producing coffee at a of pressure of 10bar (10 times atmospheric pressure) is rather low for an espresso machine. Because of the way that the coffee is compressed within the pods it is sometimes necessary to "steep" the pod for a while but the results work very well. This is a great low-cost instant coffee machine. I really enjoy using it and over the last few months have noticed a bigger range of pods becoming available, with Tesco even offering their own-branded ones. The taste is very good but the height of the machine means only medium to small cups can be accommodated. I bought some Jamie Oliver 'Snug Mugs' as these were the perfect size for the coffee delivered. The machine is very easy to keep clean too ...

This machine is quick and easy to use which makes it much better than a filter machine. The lift off parts where the cups sit make it easy to clean and the parts are dishwasher proof. Although it makes good coofee if making several cups it can take a little while. It can also be expensive as the pods are only good for one cup unless you like really weak coffee. The first few times I used the machine I ended up with cold coffee and I like my hot ...
