Advantages: Relatively cheap and robust Disadvantages: Poor picture quality
The Philips SPC 200N PC Webcam, I only recommend it as a budget camera!
The Camera's User guide is VERY easy to follow - only two pages of instruction in each of 8 languages! Installation takes minutes.
Camera (about 4X6X8 cm and as light as a feather) plugs into a USB so does not require an extra power supply. It is very robust, but being so light it tends to be dragged to the side by the weight of its own wire!
Flat base so cannot be mounted ... ...on the box… Picture quality is painfully bad, and cannot cope with ANY movement, but most budget webcams are like that…
Microphone not inbuilt but a massive one you have to keep right in front of your moth is included. Software you can use to take videos with the camera is included in the installation CD, but video quality is atrocious.
