I shopped for almost 2 months looking for the best 19" monitor for the money, and when I found the Philips 109s I knew I had the right one. It isn't a flat screen monitor but it is close and it's a full 18" viewable. It has the highest resolution capability of any 19" under $400. With resolutions up to 1920x1440 and flicker reduction up to 1280x1024 it performs better than most flat screen monitors. I know the Philips web site says it does 1280x1024 but that is incorrect, I know. I am displaying 1600x1200 right now. Compared to other common 19" monitors it is roughly the same size and weight ...
