Advantages Advantages (+) nice smell, really relaxing yet uplifting, too (+) packaging (+) lasts

Disadvantages Disadvantages (-) texture (-) price!!! (-) bleaches clothes! (-) massive letdown

This has to be one of the most annoying products on earth! Philosophy - hard-to-resist little blurb on the jar, kind and caring website, charity schemes... But, I actually own this stuff, and to be perfectly honest, I don\'t know whether I love it or hate it; I don't think it's actually doing anything for my skin, but what I DO know is that I WANT TO KEEP USING IT. Damn you philosophy! Okay, okay, enough with my ranting and raving. Seriously though, the Hope product is one moisturiser that has been hyped-up beyond belief. Like its name states, it comes in a jar and, also like its description ... more

    Advantages Advantages Beautiful, light, cream

Disadvantages Disadvantages Price is always a disadvantage

Well, to start, I have to say that I am an Origins girl at heart. Always will be! There....Now that's out of the way. I have used nearly every Origins product (and still do) but the one "non-origins" product I don't think I could live without is Hope in a Jar. I have normal to combination skin - Prone to breakouts occasionally, but for the most part, I have a nice, clear complexion - but occasionally skin is very dull and drag. I have to use an exfoliator at least twice a week (my favorite is Origins Never a Dull Moment). But when I started using Hope in a Jar, I have found that there is ... more

Advantages Advantages Does exactly what it says on the jar!!

Disadvantages Disadvantages I really can't think of any. Maybe it's a little on the pricey side.

I have typical combination skin that gets very greasy on the forehead and nose but can feel dry on the cheeks if I don't use a moisturiser. To add to my problems, I decided to have an exfoliation treatment on my face to get rid of a few blemishes but it was too harsh and left my skin looking very dull, uneven and aged. Philosophy's Hope in a Jar was my last resort after trying about 10 other products claiming to have amazing results but failing to deliver. I have been using it for a week now and my skin looks brighter, healthier and my usually over greasy T zone is more like the rest of my ... more

    Advantages Advantages Absorbs well

Disadvantages Disadvantages Price, just isn't anything special

I bought this product as part of a kit being offered on QVC and I really can't say that I was very impressed. Yes, its a nice texture, not too heavy and not too light. It also absorbs well, but then so do many other less expensive brands! The Philsosophy rep on QVC made this cream sound like something amazing, hence hope in a jar but I really cannot say that I noticed any visible difference to my skin. I have quite good skin but like all city dwellers it can sometimes look a bit dull. I found nothing extraordinary about hope in jar, it is just your average moisturiser. If you try Elemis or ... more
