Review of Pikmin (GameCube) by

Advantages: Hours of Great fun
Disadvantages: Very addictive

The brains behind Pikmin is the same person who brought you Super Mario World and Zelda, he is Shigeryu Miyamoto and when you begin to play Pikmin you can see similarities with all the games.
The concept of the game is really simple, ...

...you already owned), as playing Pikmin REALLY made me want a Gamecube!
In Pikmin you play the part of Olimar, an astronaut who has crashed on a strange planet with an atmosphere of poisonous oxygen. His space suit can only sustain him for a short while so he needs to find the missing ship parts and repair his ship ASAP. Very shortly after you begin you will spot a strange looking red thing that looks a bit like a giant red onion with legs which ...

Grow, Pick, Work
Review of Pikmin (GameCube) by
Rickoss
Advantages: Outstanding Gameplay
Disadvantages: Short Lifespan and Terrible Camera Angles
Pikmin never really made much anticipation for itself; maybe this was because people were so excited about Smash Bros. Melee that they just seemed to ignore it, or maybe it was because Nintendo's last 'Short 'n' Sweet' title had so much anticipation from 'Hidden Mansion', and didn't really deliver, that people tried not to think about it. But whatever anyone says, it was never looked at to be Nintendo's game of the year. There was a lot of speculation ...

In Three Flavours
Review of Pikmin (GameCube) by
3rdRockSatan
Advantages: Addictive | Fun | They're so cute!
Disadvantages: Short | They're so cute!
Pikmin are cute. Too cute. There I’ve said it. When playing this game you will become attached to each and everyone of your Pikmin, unless you have a heart of stone that is. You will feel sorry for each one of the little guys that gets eaten, drowns or gets left behind. We have the now legendary Shigeru Miyamoto to thank for this. He is the man behind such gaming icons like Donkey Kong, Link and, of course, our favourite fat plumber Mario. Pikmin ...

Pick Pikmin
Review of Pikmin (GameCube) by
Fury
Advantages: Stunning graphics and engrossing gameplay
Disadvantages: Doesn't last quite long enough
...different types of Pikmin, red Pikmin which have great strength and are not hurt by fire. Blue Pikmin which can travel through water and yellow Pikmin which can carry bombs. These Pikmin are pulled from the ground like plants and are planted into the ground either as seeds from flowers around the worlds or from the bodies of dead enemies.
The enemies are another major point in the game; they are scattered all around and must be defeated to get ...

Pikmin
Review of Pikmin (GameCube) by
joedark
Advantages: Excellent, addictive, fun game
Disadvantages: Far too short
...you have 30 days of. Pikmin are small creatures that come in different types, Bud, Leaf and Flower. They are also sorted into three different colours, red, blue and yellow. Red Pikmin, these are the first Pikmin that you’ll meet in the game, they are great at fighting and are invulnerable to fire, useful against the fire-breathing bad guys. Blue Pikmin, these are the weakest in battle but unlike the others they don’t drown and die in water. Yellow ...
