Pikmin are cute. Too cute. There I’ve said it. When playing this game you will become attached to each and everyone of your Pikmin, unless you have a heart of stone that is. You will feel sorry for each one of the little guys that gets eaten, drowns or gets left behind. We have the now legendary Shigeru Miyamoto to thank for this. ...being able to grow red pikmin (aka the fighters and flame retardant kind) but soon you get the yellow (the fling further and carry exploding kind) and the blue (the water tolerant and that's about it kind). Don't get the first two kinds in the water or they'll drown and don't get the last two kinds in the fire or they'll burn but most importantly don't leave anyone behind or they get eaten by the bugs and that's the cruelest fate of them all. This is the only game that I have ever come across that I've played over and over again. There is so much to do and all in only 30 days! You are Captain Olimar and have collided with a meteor and crash-landed on a planet inhabited with Pickmin. These are helpful creatures who, with guidance from you will help to collect your space ships parts. You have 30 pieces and 30 days to collect them in before your air supply runs out. Disadvantages: Little replay value and very short

...garden (apparently) Even with 100 pikmin on screen at once, and the huge enemies that frequent the world, there is no visible slowdown or popup. Like most 3D games, the camera can sometimes be in the wrong position, but this is easily resolved with a push of either L,R or Z to rotate, zoom or toggle between overhead and 3rd person views respectively.
