Advantages: Impressive for the money, especially through 'Twenga'. Disadvantages: None
I bought the Pioneer DEH-4000UB recently as a replacement for the standard radio/cassette in my BMW 3 series. I have never been impressed with the BMW stereo (Phillips), and assumed that perhaps the speakers were as much to blame as the head unit. I toyed with the idea of fitting a CD multi player in the boot, but they can be very expensive.
I was playing by Sansa mp3 player through the head unit, using a cassette adapter, and although the Sansa ... ...or less decided on the Pioneer DEH-4000UB, which Argos were selling for just under £90. Now for the best bit, ### If You Look On 'Twenga' You Can Buy The SAME unit, AT ARGOS for only £49.99 ??? but only if you get re-directed through Twenga, if you go straight to argos, the price is the full £87.99. Advantages: Very good sound quality, many options, Sound Retriever technology Disadvantages: Interface could be better
...the advantages are the legendary Pioneer sound quality. The downside I think is the menu navigation. If you have an iPod filled with music, choosing an artist can soon become a long task to accomplish e.g: you have to turn that button soooo many times. But else it really looks great and as I said, USB control is really cool. Personnaly I installed a 160gb HD powered by my lighter plug directly connected to the unit. Never change the disc again! ...

This radio is very nice. I like it. I actually have one in my car, and it has great sound quality. I connect my ipod to it, and play it in my car just as easily as I play a cd. It sounds better than having headphones in. It has a real nice face, and it has a great security measure tha lets you remove the face of the radio when its not in use, so it won't be stolen from your vehicle.
