...ISPs? I have been a Pipex customer for a year or so now and don’t agree with all the praise that this ISP is getting. ...this with the fact that Pipex were created in 1991, (I first got web access at work in 1996!) the first and pioneering ISP in the UK right from the word go. I started using pipex broadband 4 months ago and there were problems from the start because at first I could not connect to the Internet for more than a few minutes at a time if I was lucky. Unfortunatly this meant I had to call their customer services, there were fairly long wait times regardless of the time of day you call and once you get through they will do nothing more than give you instructions on how to do an overnight ... When I first heard that Pipex were offering a much cheaper price for ADSL than big companies such as BTopenworld or Freeserve, I was extremely shocked as I had known them since 1996 when I was looking for my first ISP. Disadvantages: Not enough people employed to work Customer Support.
