However, over the past year and a bit, fast food has been the last thing on my mind, and the thought of consuming a greasy, fat-filled meal scares the living daylights out of me. Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut...?
For a friends' 16th, she was going bowling, followed by a trip to Pizza Hut with some friends. I was lucky enough to be invited along to this as I love bowling! Though it had been quite a number of years since I had been to Pizza Hut and did not know what to expect.

So off we went bowling at Sunset Boulevard here in Aberdeen (after chasing two buses, neither of which stopped!), working up an appetite. The table was booked for half past eight, so we had a bit of time to kill. My friend decides to try and spin a wheel for 50p, to try and receive tickets to exchange for prizes. First spin, she hits the bonus and out spins 500 tickets! Eesh! And ...

Advantages: Good value, pleasant atmosphere, their deep pan bases still rule Disadvantages: Deterioration of the salad bar, service not always good, expensive alcohol and side dishes
Since I first went to Pizza Hut with my parents as a small child, I was besotted with the whole experience. The smell, the ambiance and of course the delicious food. For years it was my favourite food in the whole wide world.
Prior to 1990, Pizza Hut branches offered a pretty consistent formula of red and orange colour schemes, reasonable waiting times, reasonable service and fantastic pizzas which in my opinion were the best in the world. OK, there's ... ...the American interpretation of the pizza which has little in common with its Italian namesake.
It was never any secret that the ingredients arrived frozen in bulk containers, but somehow they created a product which was an absolute winner. And the deep pan pizza bases were the jewel in the crown.
But all is not well at Pizza Hut. In the last few years, they've tried to give the whole thing a facelift which has only been partially successful. The ...

...Why have I written Pizza so many times you ask? Well it wouldn’t be called Pizza Hut if it didn’t have pizza everywhere would it? silly.
Not again….. My mum and I were fighting again about where to go out and eat. We finally, after a lot of shouting and swearing in my mum’s case, decided on the lovely Pizza Hut.

Our drinks were served and then we sat and made conversation and ate my mum’s salad until our food arrived.
About 20minutes later the pizza arrived. It looked very big and we all dug into our side of the pizza and between the three of us we demolished the whole thing. We also ordered a Garlic Bread with Cheese which they forgot to give us, when we complained they gave it to us with ...

Pizza Hut has to be the most popular pizza place in the country and most towns and cities have at least one. My relationship with Pizza Hut started in my student days (it’s great when you’ve been out drinking!) and even though I’ve left uni, I still visit regularly.
So, what’s it all about…..

Every branch I have visited has been very clean, tidy and well presented. My only gripe is that they tend to ... ...come up with. At Pizza Hut you can have as much pasta, pizza and salad as you like between 12 and 2.30pm (mon to fri only)…..all for the bargain price of £4.99! There are no limitations on how often you can pile up your plate with goodies either. To accompany you’re meal you can also order a refillable soft drink for £1.35.
The choice at the buffet is excellent, there are normally around 4 different varieties of pizza (vegetarians catered ...

I love Pizza Hut.
In particular, I love the Pizza Hut buffet, mmmmm!!! Pizza Hut Buffets are available between 12 and 2pm, cost just £4.99 and you can eat as much as you want. Fantastic. The selection of food is great, including different pizzas, hot pastas, garlic crusts, salads such as lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, beetroot, potatoes, onions, bean salad, coleslaw, etc..., bacon bites, croutons, and different salad dressings. Amazing. And you really ... ...have to wait for a pizza that you like, although there is usually a large selection of different toppings.
Also, it's all self service, unlike other dishes on the menu, but given the amount you're bound to eat, you'll probably be grateful of the 'exercise'!!!
However, if the buffet doesn't take your fancy, don't panice, there are plenty of other dishes to choose from. Pizza Hut offer a range of starters, including garlic bread, chicken wings and ...

...unknown reason, well-liked eaterie called Pizza Hut was one that has put me off the place forever.
As a young child, I was often taken to Pizza Hut as a reward for something like a good report, a birthday outing or a family meal out on other 'special' occasions. I remember the restaurants fondly; the deep dark red interiors, the matching dark red carpets and candle holders on each secluded red and white checked table, the crayons and activity sheets, ... ...dim wall up-lighters, and the pizza pans being placed on your table for you to dish out yourself.
Indeed my own children have often asked me, and hence been taken to, Pizza Hut, and they have been to Birthday Parties there too. They love it. Alas, the Pizza was on its way and arrived on our table about 10 minutes after we had finished our tasty starter. We had agreed on the Italian Style Cajun Chicken although it did come with certain peppers I was not overly keen on. First mention must go to the Buffet Special deal, where you pretty much pay just less than £4.99 to eat as vast amounts of pizza as you like. Pizza Hut is one of the most popular restaurants in the UK and is well known in the United States too.
*~*~*~*~*Brief History*~*~*~*~*
Pizza Hut first began in 1958 when Frank and Dan Carney opened the first restaurant in Witchita, Kansas.
The restuarant was just big enough for 25 seats and the sign just big enough for 9 letters and so Pizza Hut was born.
This was due to the fact that the word Pizza was to be contained in the title and the building ... ...now they are the biggest pizza company to date with over 500 outlets across the country.

Pizza Hut is regarded as one of the best known and best loved Pizza "restaurant" in the country at the moment. Serving a range of pizza and pasta, there is at least one in every major town and city.
I have to admit that until recently, despite loving pizza, I had never ventured into a Pizza Hut before as I had always regarded them as being quite expensive. This is probably because a few years back there were a few "Pizza Land" restaurants around ... ...one pizza get another for a penny" and offered a 50% student discount on specific days. When these closed down and Pizza Hut took over, I avoided them as their prices seemed to be much higher and they didn’t have a 50% student discount (this has changed now).
