The Plantronics DSP 400 headset is the perfect headset for anyone interested in Podcast making, internet calling or video gaming.
I have owned this headset for many years now and it is a fantastic product. At the time, it cost £50 although I got it for £30. You'll be able to pick it up for a lot less now, and its certainly worth it!
I use mine mainly for internet calling with my friends and the sound quality of the earphones is exemplary. In addition, ... ...down it, the headset filters out that frustrating background noise most microphones give you.
The headset also folds away so that it is small and can be stored easily. The USB plug is superior to the green and pink mini-jacks as it is digital, improving quality, and USB ports are usually easier to get to.
Finally, the headset has an inbuilt volume control on the cable, so volume may be altered, and a mute button - handy for if someone walks in ...

Advantages: Small, Foldable Disadvantages: Can take a while to get the software trained
I was looking for something small to take on the road with me. The foldable DSP-400 seemed to fit the bill so I took the plunge and ordered one. I’m glad I did. Now I can dictate directly into my laptop instead of into a Dictaphone as I travel between sites, saving me hours a day transcribing client notes. The mic quality is at least as good as my desktop microphone, which surprised me for a headset. The speakers are pretty good quality, with a full ... ...you’d get from high end Walkman headphones. I haven’t tried the voice software that came with it, because I’ve invested so much effort in getting my current setup ‘trained’ to my voice, but it's pretty much the industry standard Lernout and Hauspie Voice engine I think. Overall, if you're looking for a headset that can fit in your pocket or laptop case without getting broken, then go buy the DSP-400. ...

These are ok not the most brilliant of headsets but i would advise anyone who wants something with good sound and a fancy looking set of head phones to get them. Clear sound, good clear microphone, I just didnt like them myself but i know 5 other people who have these and they say they love this item. I also found the spounges on the headset a little tricky to get comfy but again this is just me. I have to say though if i wasnt as fussy as i am, ...
