    The festive season is upon us once more, and at this time of year choosing an internet site from which to purchase DVDs, CDs and computer and console games, can be a bit of a minefield. Since discovering play.com some months ago, I no longer spend hours looking through different sites in order to find the best deals, I visit play.com, which can cater for my every need.     This review is on the online retail giant's play.com, who sells a large array of multimedia products. I first came across this website way back in 2002, and ever since I consider my self to be a loyal customer, always purchasing my DVDs, video games and so on from their website.     Disadvantages Disadvantages If something goes amiss - they are completely disinterested.

    I see from the statistics that this is a site which has been reviewed many times and not surprisingly considering the items that it sells. I do not see much point in listing every facet, as anyone who has used the net will be able to follow the headings and and Play.com makes changes to its site on a regular basis. So the aim here is to give an overview along with my opinion of the strengths and weaknesses. Hopefully, that will be more helpful in guiding anyone's decision whether to do use this company.     When I first heard about Play.com, I had my doubts. I mean, who would name an online site 'Play.com'? and why were people talking about it? It's hardly the kind of site you would associate with DVDs, games and CDs, so what's it all about? The bottom line is that you can't judge a book by its cover, so why judge a site by its name?     Play.com is a great web site for buying entertainment goods! They have a huge range on offer including DVD, Music, Games, Books, Electronics, Gadgets and Ringtones. I've used play.com a couple of times and I have written about my experience here. I have also looked at the web site itself and how well it works.     Have you ever felt that you were being ripped off when buying DVDs from the high street?? I know I have, and I get great pleasure from buying 99% of my DVDs from on-line stores, and from one shop in particular, that is Play.com. Why Play? ************* Play was recommended to me by my Dad, and that's as good a reason as any other for a first visit. What impressed me, however, were the prices, on average DVDs are at least £2 cheaper than on the high street and sometimes us much as half the price, plus everything that you order is delivered free. Play.com (henceforth just “Play”) is one of the best-established shopping sites now operating in the UK. It sells CDs, DVDs, Audiobooks, Computer games, Mobile ringtones and even boys’ toys (a.k.a. ‘Gadgets’) at extremely competitive prices and with the added bonus of free, generally rapid delivery to all UK addresses.     Hopefully it's clear that in this review I'll just be looking at one aspect of Play.com, it's music download section. I hope this is inkeeping with Ciao rules and suchlike, if not, silly me. The music download section of Play.com 'PlayDigital' is something that I have been overlooking for a very long time, and I regret that very much, considering the amount of money I've spent on iTunes' broad but flawed download store.
