You might think being a Mummy of 3 that I would be a dab hand at choosing Christmas gifts for babies, sadly not so, I had no idea what to buy for Jack this Christmas and was struggling to make suggestions for relatives who were constantly asking what they could buy. It was on a trip to Toys R Us to pick up gifts for the older children when I spotted the Lullaby Gloworm, initially I picked it up reminiscing about the Gloworm toys of my childhood but when I pressed the tummy and it started to play it's tune Jack started to immediately settle and listen to the song, it would seem he had chosen a ... more

I got this for my daughter when she was about a year old, just as I moved her cot out of my room and into hers - I wanted some toys she could take into the cot with her at night that would keep her quietly entertained yet still calm enough to sleep. Mine differs from the picture above, in that my glo-worms hoody is pink rather than blue . It has the same lime green soft body, soft pink hands, arms outstretched for a hug, big happy blue eyes, sweet smile and wipable plastic face. Pressing it's tummy makes it give out a warm glow from it's face- nothing too bright, just a gentle soothing light ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent value toy, great for boys or girls.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

Many a fight and argument has broken out over this cute little worn in my house. We actually had three of these as my husbands brother bought one each for the boys a few years back, I think the thought was there for the baby (at the time) but not for the elder two boys as they were a bit puzzled as to why their uncle had bought them at ages 5 and 7 years a Gloworm! I must admit I was a bit flumoxed too but there you go! My now 8 year old.. then 5 year old was afraid of the dark (sometimes I may add... Not often just when he remembered!) so this wasn't too bad for him, rather than the night ... more

My daughter has had this toy since she was born however it is only in the last three or four weeks that she has really shown any signs of being aware of it and responding to it, the one we have is different to the one in the picture above, the gloworm has the same lime green lower body but the upper half is a pink colour for both the jacket and the hood. The face is the same which is plastic which makes it easy to clean and the rest of the body is rather soft and made for cuddling, it is a cute design with a nice smiley face. If you squeeze the stomach then the face will glow brightly and also ... more

the lullaby gloworm by playschool has to be one of my own personal favourites as i had one of these when i was a child, although not so modern and fancy with the lights etc... it is great to help relax in the evenings as it has soothing glowing night light (in the face) and plays lullabys when squeezed in the tummy, it plays twinkle twinkle and a few others but twinkle twinkle has to be my favourite. the glo worm is dressed in night wear with a cute night cap on has a soft body and a hard face, great to cuddle up to. the best bit about the gloworm is that it is machine washable, simply remove ... more

my daughter has this playskool lullaby cloworm to sleep with and it works wonders. When she wakes up in the middle of the night I just squeeze it and starts it lulabies and glows and sends her back to sllep again. I brought this product when she started teething about 2 years ago and I'ved used it ever since but not all the time. I think this a great product to help a baby to drift off into a peacefull and relaxing sleep. It's great vaule for money for £9.99 from argos and it being a soft toy makes it much better for the child to sleep with. I don't know what i'd do with out my one as she is ... more
