Advantages: Fun, lots of Pokemon Disadvantages: Can be repetitive
...Pokemon. A worldwide obsession, the Pokemon games allow you the chance to become a 'Pokemon' trainer. You must travel across the virtual world, catching, training and battling Pokemon as you do so. There have been many, many Pokemon games spanning across all of Nintendo's systems from the Game Boy onwards - But this time I will be reviewing Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, a remake of the original Red and Blue games.

Advantages: Great remake, fun gameplay, over 250 different Pokemon, addictive Disadvantages: Never going to catch 'em all.
Pokemon is a worldwide smash hit. And whilst many people think it has gone out of style there is still a huge cult following in Japan, the U.S.A and a suprisingly healthy Pokemon community throughout Europe, being especially popular with youngsters and RPG fans alike. This game has included wireless adapters for the GameBoy Advance so that players can trade and battle without the use of a lead, making this game very good value for money. The aim ... ...order to chart how many Pokemon species there are in the world. It is also the player's aim to train a team of six Pokemon to high levels in order to beat other Pokemon "Trainers" and "Gym Leaders (stronger trainers) and eventually the "Elite Four" which serve as the main bosses of the game. Along the way the player makes new friends and rivals, including frequent battles with your own rival which you meet at the start at the game, and the evil "Team ...

...the classic remake =) of pokemon Red and Blue. They were the first original hand held pokemon games and I enjoyed playing them very much to an extent where I would fall asleep in the classroom after staying up all night and get in trouble lol Pokemon was the 'in' thing back in the day. Advantages: Chance to reminisce, With extras so it's not all familiar Disadvantages: Like all Pokemon games, can be repetitive after a while.
Back in the day, when Pokemon Red and Blue came out, I had the Red and my best friend, the Blue. I remember it all now, phoning her up to tell her i'd caught a certain rare pokemon and i'll trade it her later for her 'dex but she must give it back! So serious back then :-P
So now, 10 years later, I got wind that they had 'remade' them for the GBA.
What a nice suprise to act like an 11 year old again and rush off and buy it, I even roped a friend ... ...extras still! Different moves for the Pokemon to learn, they can hold an array of items, and there are islands to explore!
It was nice, reliving my experiences from back then, but the extras also kept it fresh.
I don't know why I'm talking in past-tense, I'm still playing! ...
