Advantages: Where do I start? New graphics, sound, etc. Disadvantages: Isn't compatable with any other Pokemon games
...so we all know that Pokemon went out of fashion a LONG time ago, but it doesn't make the games any less addictive, does it? So start saving, buy this game and have a go at it. You won't regret it! Unless maybe the coolest person you know sees it when they go round to your house, but just keep it hidden well!

It would make it more challenging and, I don't know about you, but I find it nice to meet my old favourites all over again.

Advantages: More of the same Disadvantages: More of the same
I've clocked up 26 hours so far - not consecutively, I hasten to point out - and I doubt I'm even halfway there.
Pokémon game cartridges have always been coloured to match their name - Red, Blue, Gold, Silver - and Ruby is no exception, coming in a nice tranlucent red that really makes the cartridge stand out among its black or grey brethren. The manual is much thicker than most. You could dive straight in without reading it, as characters and signposts ... ...I'd recommend a thorough perusal to get maximum enjoyment out of the game. As well as giving you your character's backstory and telling you how to set options like text speed, the manual contains the Braille alphabet (which apparently turns up in the game though I haven't encountered it yet) and tells the reader 'you could even find Braille in your home town'. How brilliant is that? For a game with a target audience of children at an age when new ...

Pokémon Sapphire was the third Pokémon game to be released on the handheld console of the Gameboy and much like the 2 series before, it marked a new series for a new model of Gameboy – the first series being on the original handheld console, the second on the colour version and this one the first to be released on the new Gameboy Advanced, enabling not only for it to have pretty colours and better graphics, but a more versatile game all in all.

This third series was known as the “advanced” generation and follows the previous versions almost identically in the gameplay, setting and story – it is a different land from the previous, there are a whole ...

...plushies of that ever annoying Pokemon Pikachu. With the craze that has swallowed the world the public eye perceives Pokemon as childish and simple. == Pokémon Ruby Review == Pokémon Ruby is part of the very successful Pokémon series which has included trading cards, a rubbish TV show, movies and video games! This is one of the video games for the Game Boy Advance. Pokémon games are role playing games (RPGS) and are developed by Nintendo. The story is similar to other Pokémon games where you start off as a rookie trainer in Hoenn (the region) You then get your first Pokémon and you go on a quest ... ...the way you will come across the bad guys: Team Magma and Team Aqua who are both trying to destroy the world. Aqua are going to do this with a legendary water Pokémon while Magma using a fire Pokémon. The game also adds lots of new Pokémon so your quest to catch them all will become a little bit harder. The new Pokémon are in general quite good and all of them look interesting! This game also has Pokémon contests where you try to amaze judges by ...

Advantages: Some nice additions to the classic Pokémon gameplay Disadvantages: More of the same
One of the many forms that the Pokémon game has taken over the last decade, Ruby and Sapphire are pretty much more of the same. The games are sister titles, by the way, meaning that they have exactly the same gameplay experience but some of the Pokémon that you are trusted to collect are different. Advantages: The sound, graphics, and overrall atmosphere are superb. Disadvantages: Aww, no compatibility with previous games.
When the interactive world of Pokemon was first introduced to us, all those years ago, with Red, Blue etc., it was amazing.
I think many would agree that at some points, you would feel as though you were actually in side the world.
Although this same feeling is present with Ruby/Sapphire, it isn't quite as strong as with the original games. Perhaps this is because the graphics are so, well graphic, that little is left to the imagination.
The sound ... ...is dissapointing.

The introduction of pokemon ruby and sapphire was a big change from the games the preceeded them. Other than silver, all the games had had the same pokemon. These newer versions, however, include a whole array of unseen pokemon.
