I received this as a Christmas present in 2001 so have now had a while to test it out. I had never used a Digital Camera before and found it ideal for a first timer.
It is silver coloured. Only weighs 4oz and is only 5 inches long. This makes it very small and light to hold. The camera has been tested to comply with FCC standards.

Advantages: serial xconnection for older computers, good battery life Disadvantages: no flash, bad picture quality, cheaply made,
...for a while, though the Polaroid us website still lists it. If you've no usb then take a trip to Max Spielmann's and pick up a Jam cam 3.0 with both serial and usb connectors and leads (great if you upgrade computers later and you get a proper full usb lead you can use with printers or scanners), flash and a n easy to use menu which takes up to 640 x 48 pixels, for only £30.00. As a footnote, Polaroid digital cameras in the U Karen't made for or ... ...cam. So the Polaroid 320 is a total beginners camera. Treat it as that and you'll be happy, I think. Expect more and you'll be dissapointed. And yes, once yiou've (and very soon I may add as you'll get the bug for digital cos you'll never develop again, but will want something beter)the kids will have a new toy to play with. ...

I bought this for £30 as opart of the Cosmopolitan Makeover kit. It was mainly to see if I'd really use a digital camera.
The camera software is very easy to use and download is via a serial cable. It's all very cheap and plasticky , but remember this was free with the software. I've since seen the package being sold at anything from £20 to £70.
The camera itself is a small grey plastic box , with an on/off switch, viewfinder , picture taking button ... ...LR6 (The square one) battery, which lasts quite a long time.
You can take up to 32 320x240 resolution pictures, which is a lot for such a cheap camera. It has problems with light definition, and you need to make sure the sun is always behind you. Once you get used to it you can take some reasonably good pictures , but it gets not detail in distance shots.
I found it continually cut the top off taking pictures in landscape mode, so end up taking ...

Advantages: Cheap, good software Disadvantages: Poor picture quality, blurring
I got this camera for my Christmas 2000. It was £50 from Currys
BAD POINTS
At first it seemed like a great idea, no films to be processed, unlimited photos etc. However, the picture quality is the main downpoint. The camera has to be used in good quality light and blurred images are commonly caused by slight movement. When you actually download the images they can't be blown up to full size because the resolution is so poor
GOOD POINTS
The first ... ...cheaper than a lot of normal cameras and you'll never have to process another film. The photo fantasy section is good - you get to superimpose your mates faces on to a variety of bodys
OVERALL - A good camera for those who are unconcerned about quality - but who are concerned about price and enjoyment of taking photos freely. ...
