My Little i

Advantages: Lots of fun
Disadvantages: Film can be expensive

...I remember we had a Polaroid camera, which my dad always got out on ‘Special Occasions.’ It was a massive black box – I’ve lived in smaller flats, and it took several hours to set up (although that could have been just because my dad was doing it!) I grew up thinking Polaroid’s were a bit naff and so did a large proportion of the population. Polaroid gained an image that was a bit sleazy. It was the camera you used to take the sort of photo’s that ...
...the traditional box shape of Polaroid cameras. On the top is a bright yellow button to turn it on and alter the setting for indoors and outdoors which is the same button you press to take a photo. That’s about as complicated as it gets!! The actual photos work in the same way as normal Polaroid ones – you take the picture, pull it out of the camera, and within a few moments it develops. It can take some getting used to, especially when photographing ...

You are now entering the sticky zone

Advantages: Cheap camera, easy to use, fun sticky photos
Disadvantages: Not very durable, expensive films, hard for kids to remove photo

...of that wonderful brick, the Polaroid camera (surprise surprise!) But what advances have they come up with in the instant-photo market? Well the I-zone instant pocket camera is the answer. Although I wouldn't exactly call it an "advancement in technology". More like "let's make it smaller, and the photos with it..." ;-) Polaroid have come up with the I-zone camera as an excuse to milk their Polaroid instant photo technology as much as possible - ...
...- just like the standard Polaroid camera. On fact, the hardest thing about using this camera is getting the blimin' thing out of its packaging! Once you've hacked your hand to pieces, given in and used some scissors to get it out, all you need to do it put the batteries and film in. They really have made putting the film in as easy as possible. Simply unwrap the film, open the camera cover, and pop the film in with a black strip poking out the end ...

Instant - But Not Inexpensive

Advantages: Comes in variety of colours, easy to use, no processing.
Disadvantages: Leaking caustic paste, expensive film, easy to ruin first picture.

Polaroid I-Zone Cameras cost around £18 from Boots. I bought mine a while ago when they were only available in red, blue or green, but since then the range of colours has widened. Some of the newer ones even come with changeable covers like mobile phones do. I-Zones are easy to load, but I nearly always spoil the first picture of each film. After you've taken your picture (adjust the flash setting and hit a button), you have to pull out a strip of ...
...after it's developed, you have to cut off the excess paper. Be careful to follow the marked lines though or you run the risk of leaking caustic paste. (Not good.) There are three flash settings - one for indoors, one for a sunny day and one for a cloudy day. These settings are depicted as little symbol pictures. On the bottom of the camera there are more pictures; these ones tell you how to use the camera. Once you've used up the film (comes in blocks ...

Advantages: Cute!, easy to use, easy to load film
Disadvantages: Expensive to buy replacement films

...bought it.... The Polaroid I-Zone is a mini(ish) camera that takes very mini pictures. Some packages you can buy come with a free film, others don't. I'd recommend the free film anytime because it takes a little while to get used to the camera. You'll find that what you see through the viewfinder, isn't exactly the picture that is taken, but you get the hang of it. Loading the film is unbelievable easy. You open the underside of the camera pop the ...
...get the insides of a Polaroid on your skin! This is a camera for all ages but obviously young kids should be watched, as you need to use scissors to trim your photos down. It's definitely not for the professional photographer but then professionals wouldn't choose a Polaroid anyway. It seems to be a camera that splits the sexes because in general I've found that men say "What's that?" in a credulous voice and women say "OHH MY GOD! THAT IS SOOOOOO ...

Why Not Go Flashing Down The Pub

Advantages: Instant sticky photos
Disadvantages: A bit pricey

...instantly, we decided that a Polaroid would be the best option. We looked at the standard Polaroids on offer and opted for the Polaroid i – zone. This camera is one of those little flat ones - about 7 inches long and silver. It has a single purple button which is used to take the photos. The only other control is a switch which can be set for taking photographs indoors, outdoors in sunny conditions or outdoors in cloudy conditions. It also ...
...(these come supplied). The main feature of this camera is that it takes small, passport sized photographs – about one and a half inches by one inch in dimension. These take a couple of minutes to develop and have an adhesive backing so they can be mounted directly into a photo album or stuck on a wall or a door if the subject matter is likely to have general appeal. The photos produced are of surprisingly high quality, but because they are ...

Say cheese, instant photos at a click

Advantages: Instant photos, small and easy to use
Disadvantages: The cost of the film

A snazzy little Polaroid camera, available in several trendy colours. Taking 2inch x 3inch instant photos, this camera is priced at around £18 in gift kit form, supplied with film and batteries.. Films cost £5.00 for 12 shots (stickers) This clever little number caught my eye late last year. ...them anywhere you like. Polaroid have just introduced a numbering system which takes the guessing out of what remaining film you have left When the film is finished it is very easily removed and replaced with a new one. To my amazement, my mum bought one for me too, so I have been keenly snapping away too. My house now has little pictures all over the place, however I was disappointed to discover that Polaroid did not have the forethought to market ...

Advantages: easy to use, convient, one of the kind.

...been a big supporter of polaroid film. The only things that I don't care much for is their polaroid camera. I used polaroid film for my 4x5 or medium format, and even the 35mm slide film is one of my favorite film of all time. But they really don't make great camera for their film. I-zone was a different case for me. I got one when it first came out, was not too impress at first because it's very much like all the other Polaroid cameras. The camera ...

The only thing about all Polaroid camera is it's easy and convient. I-zone camera is a very fun way to shoot, not because it has a sticky back where you can have a photo sticker, but it has so much accessories that you could play with as well. Which is a very interesting concept for Polaroid because they never had ...

...a present one of these Polaroid cameras the I-Zone and to my luck it was just after I had bought myself the other one, the JoyCam. The reason that I had originally decided to buy the other one was the size of the photos and the fact that you couldn't ‘stick’ them almost everywhere...Well, it sounds great if you are 10+ something but I don’t really think that they would have understood my new craze at work...having my desk and computer decorated ...
...the place though! The I-Zone camera is great for kids who enjoy ‘decorating everything’ and as the camera is very straight forward and easy to use it can be the perfect gift in ‘sticky’ situations. Its features include automatic flash and focus, flash-ready light with power on/off switch which does help to extend the battery life as it turns off automatically after you’ve taken the photo. It takes two 2 AA batteries which normally would be included ...

Designed for maximum fun

Advantages: Takes fun little pictures with adhesive backing, great for close-up portraits, pictures are detailed enough to be scanned onto computer.
Disadvantages: Not good for landscape or outside photographs, can be expensive.

Polaroid has bought out a pocket sized camera called an I-Zone. Its concept is that is produces tiny photographs with an adhesive back that are perfect for using as stickers. These can be great fun - for using on greeting cards, for putting in your wallet or for giving to lucky friends. But the I-Zone is expensive and its pictures are rather pricey for such a small exposure. I have withdrawn my original opinion on this camera, as over the Christmas ...
...tip is to shield the polaroid in the dark while it develops. Although this seems obvious it is extremely important for the tiny exposures that the I-Zone produces - any tiny blemish caused by its over-exposure to light can totally destroy the picture. Finger prints can also stick permanently to the photo if you touch it straight after removing it from the camera. It will cause the picture to fade in that area and can again destroy your print. These ...

Oh sooo much fun

Advantages: fun, trendy!!!
Disadvantages: cost.

It was recently my birthday and unfortuantely it can be said i received gift vouchers which i'mnot a great fan of but luckily it meant that i was forcedto buy something i normally wouldn't have taken a second look at. However as soon as i saw it i knew i wanted it! The idea of being able to take minipicutes appealed even if the price of film didn't. Although at first it seemed like quite an expensive buy, not initially but the cost of being able ...
...it up against the cost of normal photos with film and developing costs and then against the costof getting passprot sized photos from a machine it al seemed fairly reasonable and if buying film in multipacks then much much more so. And once you start it's impossible to sotp! Unfortunately someof the pictures are a little small but i've started a little book of pictures and i love it! It took me a couple of wasted pictures to work out how it works. ...

Stick it up your...

Advantages: Very fun-easy to use
Disadvantages: Not very good pictures, film is costly

I think I first got an Izone when I was about 12-it was one of those things that everyone has to have-nothing had been down like it before-it was marketed purely for kids/teenagers! They do seem to have gone out of fashion now though-I know I didn't bother buying any new film when the rolls it came with ran out! For a child living on £10 a week pocket money-£7 just for a film seemed ridiculously expensive! Please don't quote me on the price-the memory ...
...distant memory! They are so easy to use-well they have to be-designed for kids. But now I think adults can use them just as much-although with most people they are lost at the bottom of the cupboard-when you "re-discover" them-you'll have hours of fun-well, maybe a couple anyway! They are not the type of thing you would use on a regular basis-they print out pictures which are backed by a sticky lining-designed so they can be stuck onto things-you ...

a compact polaroid!? how cool!

Advantages: a compact camera with all the necessary features
Disadvantages: there seems to be a nack to pulling out the pictures

...has just brought me a polaroid izone, as it is so much smaller than my polaroid 600, so a little more handy and less embarrasing to carry around! i have just finished my first 12 pictures that came with the camera, im i think i need to go on a course to learn how to pull out the pictures without causing finger print marks on them. It is very simple to use the camera, just select the right setting for the environment you are in, indoors, outside ...
...almost any environment. Well done polaroid another great instant camera! The films are about £9 for two packs of 12 photos, which may seem alot but if you take into account the fact that the pictures are instant, and the camera is so handy i think that they do work out to be good value for money! ...

Fun but expensive

Advantages: excitement of seeing photos straight away
Disadvantages: expensive for what it is

This is a good novelty camera for when you just have to see the photos right then but has various downsides. It tends to eat batteries, especially if you happen to put it in your bag and it 'accidentally' switches itself on which happens very easily. The photos are very small and the film can be quite expensive so it's best to but several at once or look for multi packs which you can now find in Argos. It's nice to have just so you can see the photos ...

Fun, but useful?

Advantages: price, fun picutres, sticky film
Disadvantages: low photo quality, size, uses batteries like butter on a hot day

My name is Charles... and I have a Polariod I Zone camera. While the camera only costs about $20 (US) its use is kind of limited as it only produces wallet sized photos. The best part is you can take instant photos and stick them anywhere using the sticky film, which is great. The worst part, is the pictures require you to be only a few feet from your subject or they look like mini-me. If you want to have a way to take photos of people and slap ...

Compact but not Cheap!

Advantages: Compact, Fun to use, Instant photo's
Disadvantages: Expensive films, Not very good for outside use

I recently received one of these dinky little cameras for my birthday, upon first inspsction I was a little dubious as to whether the camera would be upto the job.
