Polti Vaporetto 2400 Steam Cleaner

My first introduction to the Polti Vaparetto was at Downtown Superstore, Grantham. Lincs. I was having a browse around and came across a demonstration of this steam cleaner. I purchased a Polti Vaporetto just a few weeks ago, and I haven't looked back since. What an amazing and versatile product. It is advertised as an appliance that you can use on a daily basis, if you so wish, and I can understand why, although it is perhaps a little bulky to get out if you just wish to wipe over the worktops. I bought a wonderful cleaner. A vaporetto steam cleaner. This little machine is a marvel it cleans anything. I boughjt it originally to clean my carpets. It cleans them without leaving any ,marks or getting them wet. It cleans, sterilises and deodorises anything. IHighly reccomend it if you have animals, children, a kitchen or a bathroom. I have owned my Polti for nearly three years, every so often I reject a thought of taking it to a boot sale (mainly because of how much it cost me) and instead have another go at cleaning my house, full of optimism & with a great deal of steam.... I was recommended this ' absolutely amazing piece of equipment by a friend ...

I have had the Vaporetto for several years and it is still working fine. When I bought it I had carpets; it didn't actually clean them (maybe they were to old!) but just sterilize them and, if used with just the brush without any rug, was able to bring, the flattened pile, up again. Now that I have laminated floors I use it to clean them, on low steam, and they clean beautifully. What else I use it for?For all the other cleaning around the house. ...

...The manual insists that only Polti cloths should be used - they are however hugely expensive, and frankly, old bath- and dish-towels ripped into squares are just as good. Be prepared, the steam losens dirt, but the dirty water still needs wiping up with lots of cloths. Unfortunately, one of advertised functions that sold the product to me, i.e. cleaning of lime-scale in the bathroom, is pretty useless. You still need to scrub and soak lime-scale ...

i have had my polti 2 years now great product but poor quality construction and even worse for spares the handle the part with the trigger broke and is not fixable and i cannot find anyone in uk or roi with spares so it is now redundant unless someone can tell me where to get one HELP ...
