Advantages Very practical bottle design, hydrates well
Disadvantages Horrible after taste and very synthetic - contains aspartame

Advantages Seems to effectively hydrate, reasonable price
Disadvantages The taste isn't anything special, high salt levels

A drink to keep you going Manufactured by the Coca-Cola Company, the ‘Powerade’ range of drinks are designed specifically to provide optimum levels of hydration for those actively involved in physical activity. Personally, I play a lot of sports, so I was keen to see if the claims of uber-replenishment are in fact true. Okay Amy, you're going to sit down and you're going to write. Try and keep your mind off the TV - I know BBC News is interesting but right now your priorities lie elsewhere. You must get this review written tonight. Why? Because I said so, that's why. What's that? You're too tired? It's too late? Get a hold of yourself, woman. You can barely see the moon! Cherry Tasty, But Beware... 14/06/2010

Advantages Tasty, well thought out bottle design
Disadvantages Salt and sugar levels are very high

When undertaking any form of exercise, keeping hydrated is important. Never mind those Lucozade Sport adverts that suggest drinking their product will enhance performance, merely keeping enough water in your system can be a problem. As someone who is fairly solidly built (so much so, I thought “Run, Fatboy, Run was a motivational video, rather than a comedy), I tend to sweat a fair amount during exercise, especially at this time of year, and this lost fluid needs to be replaced. Advantages nice Juice, full of flavour

I had always seen this drink in Asda when I was going to buy my Energy drinks (like Emerge, Red Bull etc) but I never bothered about them. They looked colourful enough and alright but I just hadn't brought myself to buy them, until the other week when I thought I would as I was a bit curious about them. The bottle looks alright. It is a slightly shaped plastic bottle which is easy enough to hold and you can see the bright red colour through the bottle. When I opened the bottle I could smell a nice scent of Cherries. **Introduction** If you look in any supermarket or newsagents you will likely see the increased number of sports drinks on the shelfs and fridges. One such drink I have used regularly is Powerade and I would say I have tried most of their flavours. Fruity Thirst Quencher esp for the Football World Cup 14/06/2010

Advantages Healthy, instantly quenches thirst, tastes sweet and good
Disadvantages Costly

With the football world cup fever hotting up there is something to cool oneself down. Watching football matches can drench you of your energy and parch your throat very quickly unless you are one of those 'gentleman' types who do not jump, fret, fume and shout but just sit back and clap hands gently on a fine Messi move or a Green horror. I am not that gentlemanly and parch my throat very quickly yelling instruction on my telly to Capello to kick Green on the backside or give Lampard a pat, and fortunately I do not have a liking for anything starting with B as in beer.
