...that I bought was the Predictor pregnancy test. There was no particular reason apart from the fact this is the only one in the supermarket that they had.
It comes in a white and pink box and the test is a foil wrapper so you know that it has not be tampered with in any way. The box gives you details of how to use the test and there is also instructions inside the box too.
The test is white and plastic and is in 2 parts. One is the stick with a ... ...my period.
The predictor detects the presence of the hcg hormone (Human Chorionic Gonadottrophin) which is produced by the body when pregnant.
Waiting for those 4 minutes seems to last forever. We both kept looking at it to see what the result was. I kept thinking that the pink dot was going to disappear but of course it didn't.

...spied the pink box of Predictor pregnancy tests. ‘Greater reassurance’ it proclaimed. So into the basket it went.
The box is covered in a cellophane wrapper to ensure it has not been tampered with. Basic instructions are printed on the box, but there are more detailed instructions on the leaflet inside the box. I purchased the box containing two tests (you can buy them singly as well) and each test was wrapped in a foil wrapper. When ... ...to wait a bit longer. Predictor does not have to be used first thing in the morning as the hormone levels can be predicted at any time of day. However, consuming excess fluid before taking the test may dilute the hormone presence.
The test can be affected by fertility drugs containing hCG or hMG. Other fertility drugs, antibiotics, painkillers or the contraceptive pill should not affect the result.

...i decided to buy this Predictor test from my local Body Care shop. Priced at 3.99 for one or 5.99 for two I thought it was a bargain. I only bought the single because i decided you only need one at a time...and I am a tight Yorkshire women living with a tight Sottish man and like to save my pennies.
Anyway off I popped to the Overgate Center in Dundee to do the test. The packet consised off a foil wrapped stick and a set of instructions. I found ... ...message was clear enough. There are three little boxes on the test stick itself. The two smaller tester boxes and the results box. If you get a pink dot in the test sample you have used your test correctly. If you get a pink dot in the results window...guess what?? Your pregnant. However a pink dot doesn't mean a pink baby (girl) as I teased my partner.!!
Anyway as with other tests you hold the pen like stick in your flow for 5 seconds and then ...

The nice peach package had a sticker on it, which read “special offer now £5.95, save £2.30” however when I looked at the supermarket prices it said it would cost me £5.79, not a lot of difference but I wanted it at the cheaper price! ...Finally I noticed Predictor pregnancy test which contained two tests I thought that this was a good idea as it meant I could take one the one day and then another the following morning just to check whatever result I got was 100% right. On getting this home I opened the box and found two tests both sealed seperatley which was good there was also the instructions which after reading was relieved to see it was extrmeley simple, it also explained how ... ...understand. All you needed to do was hold the stick pinting downwards in a stream of your urine for 5 seconds. Simply re-apply the lid and then within four minutes your result will appear. There are two windows the one is a control window this will go a darker colour to say that the test is working once this has cleared in the second window a dot will appear if you are pregnant, no matter how light the dot is means the test is positive. ...pretty pink box of the Predictor caught my eye. Noting the price, I popped it in my basket and went to pay.
On arrival home, I waved it at my husband who looked horified. And who could blame him? 'Predictor' isn't exactly an enticing name. Its actually quite scarey, like film titles such as 'Terminator' or 'Predator' . No thoughts of soft skin and baby talc when you read this box.
The box is wrapped in cellophane which proved rather difficult to ... ...pregnancy).
The Predictor is available from chemists and some supermarkets. i bought mine in Savers for a very cheap £3.99. A two pack is only £5.99. Tesco sells them for a pound more.
As for the results, they certainly predict a busy future for me. ...

When gazing in bewilderment at the mass of choice of pregnancy tests I finally opted for Predictor.
The reasons were several, the box states its as accurate as a doctors test, one simple test (thought it best to keep to as simple as possible with the vital outcome of info that the test would behold), fast (very important) and any time of day (well I wanted to know as soon as I bought the test not wait until morning pee time). Finally, the 2 test ... ...£9.99 although this was offer price and I can’t recall how much full price would have been.
The test itself was very simple so on this count the box was true to its word.
The back of the box itself contained all the instructions you needed, although I did force myself to read ALL the blurb on the lengthy instruction leaflet inside more out of desire to make sure did not do anything wrong!!, but for future ref its actually just ok to read ...

...priced test in there, a Predictor at £3.99 (Savers Chemist)
I rushed home and did the test and it told me i wasnt pregnant! I was mortified, so i ordered a different brand of internet cheapy from a different supplier on ebay. Sure enough, the next day when they arrived, i took the test and it came back with a blaring positive.
I would NOT recommend Predictor for detecting EARLY pregnancy as it is my conclusion the sensitivity is not very high on ... ...very early stages - the Predictor however did not. I have not called them to find out what the sensitivity is, but i also took a Tesco's brand that day and it showed me a very clear positive also- they are sensitive to 25miu so i should imagine Predictor may be as high as 50 or even 100miu.
If you have bought or buy this product after being considerably late 1-2 weeks it will probably give and accurate result, but i would say that, from personal ...

The predictor caught my eye because it was on a special offer for £3.99 and it said that the results would be accurate and very fast. as i opened it all up the instructions were very clear as there was a step by step. Which helped me alot because i had no idea what i was doing. It showed three windows and a bit where i had to urinate. So i followed the instructions, after i had done that i had to leave lie it down for four minutes. in the ... ...and the other one would indicate whether or not i was pregnant.
As the time was ticking one of the dots started to fade away which indicated to me that i was not pregnant but i did have to wait till it was completely clear. As much as i would love a baby i was in no situation to bring one up, but if iw as pregnant i would have kept it and gave it all i had.

...i hadnt heard of the predictor before, i tried this because it was reasonably priced.
Low & behold the test was as clear as day, no mistaking the result. There are 3 circles, a large one with a smaller one on either side. A pink colour moves accross the circles. One small circle stays pink, this shows the test has worked. If the large circle in the middle stays pink, you are pregnant. If there is only the test dot coloured, then you are not.

Although the Predictor pregnancy test kit didn't give me the answer I wanted I found it really easy to use.It was just a case of removing the stick from the casing, weeing on the pink foam end for a few seconds and then putting it back in the casing.A pink dye spreads across the windows from left to right, you wait 4 minutes and if there is a pink dot in the middle window, you're pregnant.There is a pink dot in the right hand window to tell you that ...
