...Express, Strada, Zizzi et al, Prezzo offer informal Italian themed dining in contemporary and stylish looking outlets. Prezzo have around 140 different city centre outlets dotted throughout the UK, many of which are located in listed buildings or places of historic interest. For example, the restaurant in Chichester (where we dined) is located in an old city centre pub with loads of traditional wooden beams and stained glass windows. Prezzo offer ... ...from Italy. So how did Prezzo measure up in comparison to Ask, Zizzi and Pizza Express? Read on and find out….. == DÉCOR & AMBIANCE == Just like Ask, Prezzo outlets tend to be located in historical or unusual looking buildings. This is certainly the case for the Chichester restaurant, which is located in an old pub called The White Horse. I can’t honestly ever remember either drinking (or dining) in there when it was a pub, despite having lived in ...

Advantages: Excellent surroundings; very good food and service Disadvantages: No folded pizzas
...the only difference is that Prezzo also has a section for roast chicken dishes, although I understand that in their newer branches this is replaced by a section for calzone, or folded pizzas. On arrival the waitress had shown us the 'specials' board which featured just one main course: fusilli pasta with asparagus, mushrooms, roasted peppers and green pesto at £7.95. It sounded healthy and I hadn't had pesto for a long time, so I made that my choice. ... ...in a more peaceful atmosphere, Prezzo is the place to go. We didn't have to wait long for our main courses to be served. The waitress offered us grated parmesan, which I accepted, and also chilli oil for the pizza. My dish of fusilli pasta was huge, and delicious as it was, I was unable to finish it. I made sure I didn't leave any of the peppers, asparagus or generous mushroom slices, but good as the pesto was, it didn't allow me to get through all ...

Advantages: Price, tasty food Disadvantages: Only in south of England, slow service
Prezzo are a large chain of Italian-style restaurants, that can be found across the UK. Establishing in London in the year 2000, Prezzo now have well over 50 outlets across the south of England.
I myself have been to 2 of the Prezzo outlets a number of times- those in Haywards Heath and Chichester- and had a completely different experience in both. I'll start with the good one:
Haywards Heath:
The Haywards Heath branch of Prezzo is situated in ... ...of meals. Some of the Prezzo restaurants speciality is roast chicken, whilst for others (including Haywards Heath) is the calzone. I have not had the calzone, but other diners in my party have had the Di Mare (with salmon and crayfish) and it looked delicious. I always have marinated olives to start which are overpriced at £2.35 for only a few, but are served in a delicious dressing. Then for a main course their pizzas are lovely and reasonably priced ...

Advantages: Great food & atmosphere, reasonable prices Disadvantages: Drinks push the price up a bit
Prezzo is a chain of Italian restaurants that seem to be appearing all over the south of England.
About a year ago I found out that my favourite local pub was closing down and I was not very happy about it. It was a fun pub, with lots of character. I dreaded to think what would take its place. Then I found out it was to be a Prezzo. Yay I was so pleased. I'd been to Prezzo elsewhere so I knew that I would like it.
I am a big fan of Italian food ... ...Pizza Express and Ask, but Prezzo has a little something extra about it.
'''The Menu'''
You won't find any surpises on the menu. It includes a range of typical dishes you would expect to find on an Italian menu including pizza, pasta, salads and a variety of different meat dishes. The starters make my mouth water and include things like deep fried mozzerella- my favourite.
'''The food itself'''
I have tried the pizza, pasta and most recently ...

...would write a review on Prezzo after visiting it numerous times with my girlfriend and family, and think other people should know our experiences here. == SOME BACKGROUND INFORMATION == I had never heard of Prezzo until a restaurant was opened in my local area. They apparently charge the same prices for the food which I think is a bit much as you're missing out on the atmosphere of sitting in the restaurant and having table service, but still, it would be quite nice to order a takeaway from here, but I won't be doing so, I'd rather visit the restaurant. == THE ACTUAL RESTAURANT ==

I'm a sucker for a pizza and have visited Prezzo, a pizza chain restaurant in Epping, Essex a few times. It opened in Epping in 2005, but the chain itself was first started in 2000. The Décor
The décor is simple with wooden floors and tables, and seats with beige leather padding. There are lots of wooden beams and low ceilings due to the nature of the building which was previously an old pub. Unfortunately the wooden floors and low ceilings can ... ...is small, sheltered area outside that fits four small tables also. The Food
Starters average about £4.25 and include Minestrone soup, calamari and various salads. I adore their Bruschetta Pomodoro - lightly toasted bread topped with fresh tomatoes, onion, basil and garlic. It always tastes fresh and delicious. You normally get three pieces in a portion for £3.95 and it is large enough to share if you just want a taster and don't want to damage your ...

I'm a big lover of Italian food, and am pretty spoilt for choice where I live for choices of places to go - Prezzo, Zizzi, Ask, Pizza Express..... Ultimately though, I will opt for Prezzos nine time out of ten.
The restaurant itself is lovely, I appreciate that as a chain this will vary but I have been to two or three Prezzos and they all seem to follow a similar format. There are a variety of table sizes, with big parties kept away from couples ... ...the restaurant. This is good for all concerned as there seem to be a lot of hen parties on a Friday or Saturday night! I have always found them to be clean (and clean cutlery too, which is always the first thing I notice!), with used tables cleaned away quickly. There always seems to be a good atmosphere too, with soft music playing and just a background noise level.
The menu is superb, with a good variety of pasta dishes and pizzas. The problem ...

Advantages: Fantastic food, really very good Disadvantages: The service is not quite as good as you would expect in a place like here
The restaurant I am reviewing is that of Prezzo's Italian restaurant in Epping.
Full address is 236 HIGH STREET, EPPING, ESSEX, CM16 4AP.
Phone 01992 570 056.
On this occasion I went with a friend and as we were planning to go on a Friday evening, I felt it best to book.

Until I met my current other half I had never tried Italian food, and never tried Prezzos. What a big mistake that was - but I have now been converted.
At first I had nothing to compare Prezzos to, but after experiencing a few more Italian restaurants round Norfolk, and further afield as the opportunites have arisen I have come to realise what a gem Prezzos in Norwich actually is.
The restaurant is always busy, every night of the week, and to avoid ... ...in advance.
Prezzos is located right near the bridge at the bottom of Prince of Wales Road, making it the ideal location (if you are on foot). If you are driving then the nearest car parks are the Riverside multi storey or the train station. Neither of these are a long way from the restaurant.
Prezzos looks nice and cosy from the outside and then you go in.................. Upon entering you are greeted by friendly, pleasant staff that appear to ...

Recently went to a Prezzo in Harrow to reap the benefits of this new offer where all the main course is in the 2-for-1 offer. Since I was very hungry, I ordered a starter and a main course, both. To my delight, there was a lot of choice for vegetarian people and it is not like Nandoos where there is hardly any choice for vegetarian. I have eaten numerous times at Prezzo's Restaurant, I go to the restaurant in Woodbridge in Suffolk. I find the staff very polite and helpful. The decor is done very well and looks very nice and it has a very good atmosphere. Having eaten in Prezzo when they first opened, I feel the standards have slipped and although all restaurants are struggling to fill seats during the week and hence offer these special 'deals', they are going to lose customers in the long run after the novelty of the half price wars wears off - You only get what you pay for in the long run. As a restaurant without parking, lacking in atmosphere and small portion sizes, I do not expect to ...

...and 23 colleagues when to prezzo in Yeovil and had a good meal, although the service was a little slow. As I had collected everyone's orders beforehand, people knew what they had to pay and so when the bill came people just gave what they owed and left. Also, if the 10% was indeed optional, why did she say we were short in the first place?
We have been back to the restaurant and have basically been told "TOUGH!". Now waiting ...
