Advantages: Best football game available, ulra realistic, excellent graphics Disadvantages: Poor commentary, Lack of real player names in some leagues
Pro Evolution Soccer 4 IS the greatest football game of all time (until PES 5 is released on 21/10/05).
Having played the Pro Evolution Soccer series since it's inception on PS2 the 4th installment is undoubtebly the best of them all. It is the closest thing to real football you can get from a games console. The gameplay is superb with every game providing a new challenge. The simpler difficulty levels make it easy to pick up and play if you are ... ...gameplay and this is why Pro Evolution Soccer 4 is the greatest of all football games. The superb gameplay is well complemented by the crisp graphics and presentation with the big game atmosphere only being let down by the rather poor commentary from Peter Brackley (of Football Italia fame) and Trevor Brooking. The thing that really illustrates the calibre of this game is that a hard fought 1 -0 win is often more satisfying than a bigger victory ...

...it is an improvement on Pro Evo 3. The commentary on Pro Evo 4 is still well behind the likes of Fifa 2005 but still is much better than that in Fifa Street(see my review)
*Graphics* 4/5
The graphics in this game are very good. While they sometimes can be seen as blurred they are still top notch, for PS2 anyways. The graphics in terms of depthness and detail are probably not as good as Fifa 2005 or Fifa Street but are still very good, and I feel ... ...5/5 (basically constant play until Pro Evo 5)
This game has a infinitive lifespan (until around October when Pro Evo 5 is out). To win all the cups it will take you a very long time, and if you have mates who like the game you will always be playing it. Even though I have a more recent footy game, Fifa Street, I still spend the majority of time playin Pro Evo 4 with my mates.
A top class game ...

...big seller this Christmas with Pro Evolution Soccer. If you’re becoming all flustered wandering why they’ve abandoned the ISS games –don’t! Pro Evo is just the new name on top of what is essentially ISS 2 for the PS2 so essentially this is ISS 2. Just cast your mind back to the ... ...commentary. In Pro Evo the menus have had a total overhaul and now sport a clever music score that changes as you view different pages. Not only are all of the featured stadia full of life now – there are also new selections. Graphics are overhauled dramatically and no longer will you see limbs appearing out of other players’ chests during goal celebrations (more on graphics later). Commentary, well, that’s as bad as ever but we’ll get to that shortly. ...

Pro Evolution Soccer
Firstly, let me say that this game is not to be confused with ISS Soccer, a mistake that many of my friends and colleagues have made to their dismay.
There are two development teams working for the same software company, each focusing on a different game entirely, although only one game is worth the bother.

If this applies to you, do not read on, my words are not for your eyes, therefore, do not post any sarcastic comments as they will not be taken heed of!
I’m sure you’re all aware of the rules of football, if not, why not? I obviously need not go through what the game is about, only more of what the game manages to do for the future of console gaming, and maybe describe the options available ...

Any names that are not right can be corrected with the player edit options, you can even create your own player, fancy playing alongside Owen in the World Cup or replacing Philip Neville!

Advantages: Feels like your playing real football. FIFA and This Is Football , your out of here! Disadvantages: Gamewise nothing .. but like other Playstaion owners , wish the games were a little bit cheaper!!
...after months of anticipation ISS Pro Evolution Soccer has finally arrived on the PS2. The question arises though , do we believe all the hype , or are we going to be like alot of Manchester United supporters when Jaap Stam left the club , bitterly disappointed.
As an avid player of the Playstation 1 version , i loaded my disc into my machine with baited breath. Is this game going to kick FIFA 2002 into row Z ?. Am i going to throw This Is Football ... .... At first glance the games title screen looked a flashy version of it's PS1 predecessor. However once into the game , it felt just great. Anyone who has played ISS will be familiar with the controls and it's pick up and play feel has not changed. This game is designed for new players and experienced gamers alike.
Graphically it may not be in FIFA or TIF2002's league , but pretty graphics do not make a game on it's own. ISS always gives you the ...

Pro evolution soccer 4, what a superb game. This game is about playing football and winning trophys to put in the vicory data. Also you have to collect PES points (like money) to collect things like new camera angles or new stadiams. This helps add more interest into the game. Advantages: Better looking menus, graphics have improved, Licensed more teams Disadvantages: Gameplay is a bit slow, game is much more difficult.
The much awaited Pro Evo 5 hit the shops yesterday, with many people rushing out to buy it. I was one of them. As i got back from school i couldn't hold in my excitement. The start up is much the same as Pro Evo 4 The menus look much less childish and they easily look as if they could be out of a FIFA game. ...because of its superb playability. Pro Evolution Soccer os from the same company (Konami) but they have surpassed thier old games and EVERY other football game with this.

What can I say about this game that hasn't already been said except that this is the greatest game I have ever played. It may not appeal to fans of FIFA or This is Football as they are arcade style games and PES is most definitely a simulation. Advantages: It has good graphics and is fun to play Disadvantages: Not proper players for the master league mode
This game is brilliant if your a big fan of football, you have loads of choices of what mode you want to play like the world cup or the master league mode.

As you may well now know that Fifa is ...
