    Anyone who has read my previous reviews will know that I am a HUGE fan of the Professor Layton series of games for the DS. Having devoured the first three games in the series, I was eagerly anticipating this prequel game, Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call. I have been playing it non-stop over the last couple of days and have completed the main story, so it is time for me to write a review! Never PLayed a Layton Game Before?     Advantages Advantages Another good effort from the Professor

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none if your clever

    Intro Professor Layton returns for yet another round of mind-boggling puzzles and sums. To be honest I thought after the last that they had perhaps run their course, but the new Spectres Call game has some slightly different puzzles to consider and some more cunning ploys to get the old grey matter working.     Advantages Advantages Lots of new puzzles, lovely graphics, original storyline, new minigames

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Slow to get going, plot hard to grasp, not a decent re-playability

    I am a big fan of the Professor Layton games and this is the 4th in the fantastic series:The Curious VilliagePandora's BoxThe Lost FutureThe Spectres CallNow understandabley, the plots have to get a little more complex as there have been clever and gripping plots throughout the other games and this has to live up to fans expectations. So I wasnt initially convinced that the Spectres Call wasnt maybe the most clever plot.I found the game a little slow-starting compared to other games, which didnt really bother me too much as the graphics and 'video' clips were really well made and clearly have ... more
