I bought this car brand new in the July of 2001 and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who wants a reliable and cheap hot (ish) hatch without sacrificing practicality or comfort. Lets look at the vehicle on a point by point basis - Reliability All Protons score highly in the reliability stakes and the GTi has been no exception. The Proton Satria is one of the great older Gti's as it has stopped in production now and the new GTi is soon to be released. I bought my self a 2003 plate satria GTi in 2005. I had actually seen the car in 2003 sitting in the dealership window as it was used as there demonstrator model, and ever since seeing it I wanted one. Proton Satria sports a sporty look. Ideal for youngsters and also for modification purposes. It can get you around the city easily and parking is a breeze because it's a compact car. However, this is not a family car. It has 2 doors but the interior can actually fit up to six people.
