If you’ve read my last review you’d know it featured a rather “trigger happy” fella’ who went by the name of Alec Mason. This review features a pretty violent bloke by the name of Alex Mercer, the prototype, maybe it’s just me, but Alec Mason and Alex Mercer in the same month, coincidence or conspiracy. Whatever the case this games much better; it’s got zombies. The game rather abruptly started following a group of soldiers in a beautifully rendered cinematic. Advantages Great Story, Great Gameplay and Great Fun!
Disadvantages Graphics could be better and some combos seem pointless.

Prototype is about Alex Mercer; a man who wakes up to find he knows nothing of his past and is gifted with incredible powers. Mercer ultimately wants to find out what happened to him, who did it to him, and to seek revenge when he does. Perhaps one of the most fun to play characters that I personally have ever experienced, Mercer is sinister and shrouded in mystery. Advantages +a cool concept taking games like Assassins creed and marvel games and making a hybrid
Disadvantages -Graphics aren't perfect, - not very difficult

I have been very excited about the release of prototype since it was announced, the visuals looked awesome from trailers and the gameplay looked fantastic. In case you dont know, Prototype is about a guy who wakes up in a morgue with strange powers, while the rest of the city has been plagued with a "zombie-esque" virus which turns everyone into mutants. The story follows the prototype as he attempts to rediscover his forgotten memories, and find the people responsible for what has happened to him. Advantages Fast-paced gameplay, Intuitive design, Brilliant storyline, Destruction that just makes you grin
Disadvantages 3D Graphics, No Multiplayer capability

My first look at Prototype was dubious: the graphics weren't of the high standards we expect from the 3D guys and nobody was shouting "Oh My Goodness this game is amazing", but I didn't mind. I'd had experiences like this before (Fallout 3) and so I decided to buy it. Possibly the best £40 I have spent. The game is absolutely brilliant. It is a beautiful combination of mindless violence and fast-paced action. Advantages Great addictive gameplay, amazing superpower element
Disadvantages Graphics is not in par with todays games

There have been many superhero games in the market yet Prototype is the first one to trule capture wat having superpowers in a city is all about despite a lack of source material. The game is set in New York city and you play as ALec Mercer who by some wierd chance has got DNA abosrobing superpowers. The story is not the best but it fits in nicely with the gameplay as you unlock memories and more of the back story of is origin as the game progresses. Advantages Gripping, Addictive, Fast Paced, Powerful, Weird, Alex is Pretty cool.
Disadvantages Hardcore gamers will find it a quick one.

Prototype; although not well advertised at all, most people not knowing the game, in my opinon is one of the best games around. "You are Alex Mercer the PROTOTYPE" The game starts 18 days after the infection with you thrown into the game not knowing what the hell to do! You are over powered passed you wildest dreams, with all ablities unlocked and all hell to brake loose. A small tutorial within gameplay and you are off. first hand to hand; then claws, then hammers; then a sword arm. Advantages Can play for weeks, awesome action
Disadvantages no multiplayer, frustrating

I expected Prototype to be grand theft auto, except you know, more hardcore. It fell just a little bit short. Sure, its a sandbox game where you can go on missions, and your a badass beast cool powers, but the execution of all this is off. You play as Alex Mercer, a man that wakes up in a city Morgue, with complete amnesia, you play out the story trying to find out who you are, and how you relate to the infection that is taking NYC over. Prototype is a free roaming game where you play a character called Alex Mercer, who has woken up on an operating table with no memory of who he is. In this game, as you progress you must find alex's memories and peice them to together as he takes down everyone and everything that is responsible for making him this way. Disadvantages Time to defeat some of the bosses

Superman? This is even better! Storyline: Alex Mercer, not the most interesting man out there, but that changes when a virus runs rampant over his city! Slowly he has to piece his history together by absorbing human beings into his being. Losing his sister, his girlfriend, he has to reclaim his identity and become a demon to do it! Graphics and Audio: The graphics were quite realistic, although the blood spill I felt was perhaps a bit over-dramatic. Advantages This game is not expensive and very worth the money. It's a very action packed game.
Disadvantages Some levels in the campaign are tough and pretty hard to pass.

First of all, I really liked this game. It's really fun. There are so many things to do on it, like, play missions, go around the city using your superpowers the kill monsters, civilians, or army personnel, or play the campaign. This game is a great way to unleash some anger out through killing society. Oh, did I mention that there are zombies? You are a guy called Alex that the government experimented on but messed up, therefore the name, Prototype. You go around the city of New York trying to figure out who you are.
