I had a Psion Gold Card 56K Modem + Fax, but it was also GSM and ISDN ready. Now I upgraded to GSM, buying a cable (relatively cheap) for a Nokia mobile phone and downloading the upgrade from Psion website. And it works very well, much faster than a infrared connection from a laptop to a mobile phone. Everything was relatively easy to install and configure, so even if you are not a techy person (as me :), you're able to do it yourself.

Advantages: Should have been an easy connectivity solution Disadvantages: It doesn't work !
...so following an e-mail from Psion to Orange I purchased the GSM Upgrade, not cheap at nearly £100 but I wanted connectivity. I installed, or tried to install the upgrade but it failed. A call to Psion reveals they have a problem with their marketing (8/11/2001). Even though the GSM Upgrade box is labelled for a Nokia 6210 and the picture on the glossy instructions clearly show the Gold Card V34+Fax on the front Psion admit that this modem card will ...
