Advantages Advantages Girly pink, so cute! (Other colours available!) Easy to use.

Disadvantages Disadvantages I don't think so.

I just love my new digital radio. It's hot, it's pink, and it rocks! (it even has a pink box!) Now come on, don't let that put you off reading the rest of this review... It is also available in black or white and looks very sleek in those colours. As Pure tells you on the box, it's "the radio for everyone". I was eager to purchase a radio for my kitchen. I don't know why I didn't have one in there already. The time had come for me to get some company to help me with my kitchen chores. I suppose I could only stand so much of my own beautiful singing voice. The only way forward for me was a ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice backlight and whats playing info., good sound quality for the size, not too expensive

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not particularly portable, the ChargePAK is a good option but its not very cheap IMO

    - Introduction - I bought the white Pure One (or Pure Digital One) DAB radio for my mum for Christmas last year, as the small radio she used in the kitchen before 'going digital', offered a pretty rotten reception. Its been used quite a fair bit throughout the year and from what I've heard/seen, the overall opinion of this product has been really quite high. I originally bought this on Amazon UK as I say about a year or so ago as the customer reviews of this particular product/model all seemed very complimentary and I would have to agree with most of what they said. Its not the cheapest of the ... more

Advantages Advantages Great sound, very easy to use, not a bad price, compact, loads of channels

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Plastic

At Christmas, as I was browsing the shops for inspiration regarding an unexpected present for my husband, I spotted the range of Dab radios in Currys. Speaking to the assistant he told me that some of the more expensive Dab radios actually did not produce any better sound than the less pricey and less elegant looking ones. I decided to go for the Pure Digital One priced at just under £50 and hoped that it would fit the bill. This radio was in either white or black plastic. I decided that the black would probably be more serviceable as white often yellows with time and the white one looked a ... more

Advantages Advantages Great sound, affordable, a great introduction to DAB radio

Disadvantages Disadvantages screen could be permanently back lit, not keen on the large control button

I have several radios and whilst they are all work fine and sound great, there is one thing that really bugs me; you have to dig out the wavelength from the Radio Times (or elsewhere) to be able to find the station. Or you have the other perennial problem of not knowing what radio station you are listening to. Not so with new digital radios. An absolute revolution in radio technology. I started researching digital radios some time ago but was put off buying by price. Soo expensive! I saw the Pure Digital One in a consumer test review in Which! and it came out TOPS for sound and value. This was ... more

I bought a black one of these radios about two years ago now. I have found mine to be absolutely brilliant. With this radio you can use the DAB band and also FM. When I first got the radio, I could only receive FM where I was in scotland. The FM works just as well as the DAB. As for radio stations, there is a wide choice. There are the usual national ones like Radio 1 and many local ones depending on where you are. I think there are stations which are only on DAB too. There is everything from sport to classical music and pop to more asian type music. On this radio, the only thing that I wish ... more

Advantages Advantages Great sound, attractive, easy to use, comes in different colours.

Disadvantages Disadvantages No carry handle. Nothing else.

Wow! What can I say, I bought this in 2007 for £49.99. It is an excellent DAB Radio and depending where you are there are about 32 stations. The radio is light, small and easy to carry on long-distances. Attractive, mine is black. The night-light display is easy to read and after about an hour you will learn how to use all the functions and options. It receives FM and DAB. It does not have a carry handle so it is not as practical as some. With a lovely clear tone and a a one watt speaker, it is loud enough.
