I purchased a Pure 1500 Handheld DAB / FM Radio and had it for one week as I did not get on very well with the buttons. I consequently found something else in its place. Here is the lowdown of the Pure 1500 handheld DAB Radio.
What it does:
FM and DAB with RDS (Radio Data System) which displays the radio broadcast data, ie: The station name, song data, artist data etc.
Rechargable battery which boasts to last for upto 24 hours using DAB.
20 Presets ... ...favourite stations can be stored and accessed at the touch of one button.
5 EQ Settings
Hardware: The casing is made from metal and was slightly bigger than I was anticipating. The device has plastic silver buttons (which seemed a bit tacky and I am not sure why they didn't use metal buttons instead (maybe a weight issue)). For my fingers, it seemed to be a bit of a chore using the middle navigator button flicking from left to right, up and down ...

Advantages: DAB, radio, no crackles, Disadvantages: price, size
...in the catalogue was the PURE POCKET DAB 1500, so, i ordered it, next day, because i just cannot wait for anything (just like most men when they get something new - except for socks!!) when it arrived (late!!) i took it straight out the box, put in the battery and started searching for DAB stations, bang!! 38 DAB stations, with no crackles or hiss!! (dont obstuct the reception, because it sounds rather horrible!!) the PURE POCKET DAB 1500 is pretty ... ...think so far though.
