I recently received a PSP as a present, and went to buy a few games for it. Now, call it sensible, or call it nerdy, I always research the games that i am going to buy at sites like Gamespot. Pursuit force scored very highly with them, and also received some great feedback from members there. That was enough for me, and i bought a copy immediately. I was able to pick it up for peanuts on ebay, I think it cost me about four quid. The game itself is produced by bigbig, and puts you in the guise of a newly recruited cop, in the new pursuit force team. You are there to battle against the five ... more

Advantages Advantages Great graphics, sound, simple controls

Disadvantages Disadvantages Hard to see oncoming traffic, steep difficulty curve

My first gaming experience on the PSP was with, like many other gamers, on Pursuit Force. The game had a wide appeal and it’s quite easy to see why: the game cover features a man jumping through the air, shooting at a female gang member with revealing cleavage and a car explosion. Instantly, the game has attracted a few hundred thousand players to it. People, especially teenagers, love explosions. The revealing woman appeals to the perverted players out there and the jumping man could be considered homage to action series like Lethal Weapon or even the newly released Hot Fuzz. The game itself ... more

    Advantages Advantages Original, Fast-Paced

Disadvantages Disadvantages No Freedom, Little Variety In Missions, Frustratingly Difficult Later On

Pursuit force was the first game I played on the PSP and I found it to be quite unique. The graphics are quite good considering it's on a handheld console, far better than the original playstation and even many other handhelds. It's very clear on the screen what's going on and your objectives are always pointed out. As with all police games, you will end up having your fair share of police sirens running through your head. But you can ditch your police car for another civilian car, or even a motorbike, because the game's most attractive feature is the ability to commandeer new vehicles with ... more

Advantages Advantages Unique gameplay | Variety of unlockables and side-games

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not much depth | Soundtrack gets repetitive

Difficulty: Medium Learning Curve: 20 or so minutes A new different spin to police based crime games, where you get to drive, jump from car to car, car to boat, car to helicopter, as well as land missions. Play as a police officer, en-route to destroy all crime gangs that desecrate the state. Hunt down fearsome suspects, with aggression. With the variety of cases you will be given, it will include running down suspects, leaping onto their vehicles in mid-drive, and do anything in your power to stop them at all costs. The game also offers something different from the career part, which allows ... more

Advantages Advantages jaw-dropping graphics, new and intuitive gameplay, lengthy gameplay

Disadvantages Disadvantages very difficult at times, steep learning curve

I purchased this game on holiday in florida and was pleasently surprised for what I got for $14.99. At first glance, Pursuit Force doesn't look too out of the ordinary and, take it from me, that is a strupid mistake to make. Pursuit force sees the player taking the role of a "super cop" on a mission to bring law and order to the streets which are ruled by a variety of different gangs. However, the storym is unimportant as long as the gameplay suffices the gamers need and it does this with it's eyes closed. Thge gameplay is like a simple arcade racer ecept the gamer can shoot at evry car and ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages not to be able to go around

this game was great when i picked up and played it. You are a police officer who has to protect the streets by driving your car and brutally damaging the oppenets cars. As you progress in the game the difficultie rises and you can feel the game being kind of hard. Then you start to unlock concept art but nothing special. Also they dont give you a oppurtunity to go and take a drive down town and not do any missions which is a drag. After you have complested the game and then there is time attack. Nothing speacial in time attack. Also there is no multiplayer ability so that makes another point ... more
