It Pays To Use Quidco (Update Aug '08)

Advantages: "Free" money, easy to use and a wide range of linked merchants.
Disadvantages: Getting paid takes a few months.

I've tried more than my fair share of money making sites on the internet, some have been good, others rather disapointing. I decided to give Quidco a go in August 2006 as I had heard good things about it, here's my verdict so far. The Concept ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Quidco advertises itself as a "cashback cooperative" which is a pretty meaningless term in itself. What it amounts to in essence is a website stuffed full of links to various company websites ...
...normally click on these advertising links, the referring website will earn commission if the potential customer actually buys anything. Quidco are simply passing this commission onto their users. Of course they aren't doing this out of the goodness of their hearts. Oh no, in todays capitalist age where everyone is out for themselves, they charge all their members £5 a year for being a Quidco member. However, they only charge you if you actually ...

Quidco.com - The choice for Cashback Kings !

Advantages: easy, convenient, higher rates of cash back than leading competitors.
Disadvantages: Can take a while to track payments.

What is Quidco ? Quidco is another of, what are known as, "Cash Back sites" that pay you shopping through them in order for them to earn money. There has been a massive increase in popularity within the last few years and I myself, must admit, have caught a bit of the bug. Although, I have been a member with a few different sites for quite a while, Quidco is only a recent find, which seems to have the edge over its competitors. How does it work ...
...for any sales generated through Quidco links. As with all Cash Back sites, you must first log into Quidco then using their search engine, search for the website or product that you are wanting to purchase. There are currently 1,232 merchants affiliated with this website, making it very easy to find whatever it is you're looking for. When you have found the appropriate website click on it and another window will appear. This is so it can track your ...

Quidco ===> Quids In :]

Advantages: 100% of cashback offered
Disadvantages: delay on receiving money

My first ever experience in making money online was through Quidco and still to this date it has to be my favourite site to use. It is one of many cash back websites currently available where through buying products you are offered a percentage of the commission Quidco receives in exchange for buying it through their site. Once Quidco receives the money from your referral, which can take anything from 1 month to 4 months, they pass on a proportion ...
...buy a TV for £500 from Argos and Quidco could give you 5% cash back on this at £25. Quidco is not an entirely free service to use however; they deduct an annual £5 charge from your earnings. Although a lot of similar websites do not do this, the cash back received is 100% of the cash back Quidco receives from the merchant, so losing £5 of your potentially unlimited earnings is a small price to pay. Quidco's cash back schemes work with many major ...

You'll be quids in with Quidco!

Advantages: Pays up
Disadvantages: none

Nothing in life is free the old saying goes, and this can be applied to Quidco - it's not totally free but if your looking for a cash back site that pays and pays a lot more than it's rivals you can't go far wrong. Over my 2 year use of the site I've managed to "earn" £500, by buying things I'd normally buy via the Quidco website plus working out what offers would also net me the cash with minimal outlay. If your looking for free clicks to rake in ...
...a few daily clicks which can net you a few pence but to be honest I found this a lot of effort for little reward. What I did find with a little bit of effort on my part there was "free money" to be had - a savings account with £1 deposited in it netted me £25, I took to gambling - a deposit of £10 - wagered on Italy winning the World Cup netted me my money back plus my winning from the gambling site and a Quidco bonus of £20. The best had to be the ...

Quids in!

Advantages: Good cashback rates
Disadvantages: £5 admin fee per year

I have been registered with Quidco now for four months an whilst I was tempted to review this website earlier I wanted to check they actually paid out and that the customer service was up to scratch before I recommended them to anyone else! Since October last year I have accumulated nearly £150 in cashback just by purchasing items through this site that I usually would anyway. ===Who are they?=== Quidco are basically a cashback site and the main ...
...£5 admin fee each year which is taken off your earnings. If you do not accumulate £5 in cash back you will not be charged. I have used a few cashback sites in the past and this is certainly one of the better ones I have used so I am happy for them to take the £5 as the service they provide in my opinion is worth it. There is a good choice of merchants and all the well known ones are there although I have found a few that aren't but new ones seem ...

Free Money with Quidco!

Advantages: Free money
Disadvantages: Payments can be slow

I have now been using Quidco now for about eighteen months and I still think its as fantastic as I did the day I found it through moneysaving expert.com. ==~~Set-Up~~== It is easy to set up your account on their and the website is easy to use. You will be asked for your account details - so they can pay you! They will also ask you for basic details such as name, address etc… It takes no more than five minutes to complete all of this. Simply search ...
...known specifically what you are looking in type the company name in the search box. The site takes a £5 membership fee from you, however they do not take this until you have earned some money - i.e. when you receive your first payment. But in my opinion is well worth the fee for the amount of 'free' money you can get. ==~~What is the site used for?~~== The basic principle of the site is that you buy whatever products you want (from car insurance ...

Easily the best cashback site.

Advantages: Highest cashback of any site, professionally run, wide range of merchants, superb tracking and enquiries section.
Disadvantages: Paypal e-cheques take a while to clear.

** Background information ** Over the past few years there have been a surge in the emergence of "cashback" sites. All though they differ in approach, they are all based around the same basic principle. Many online retailers use "affiliate networks" to boost traffic and sales through their sites. These networks are companies which provide advertising materials for use on other web sites in return for commission payments on products sold using these ...
...Let's say I have a web site based around digital cameras. On my site I have some adverts for Jessops, a well known seller of cameras. If you click on the advert, you will be diverted via the affiliate network to the Jessops site. If you then subsequently buy a camera from Jessops, then Jessops will pay a percentage commission (usually based on the sale value) to the affiliate network. The affiliate network will then pass on this commission to me ...

Money For Nothing

Advantages: Free Money!!
Disadvantages: £5 Fee

For those of you who are unsure, Quidco is a cashback website which basically means that they will give you money back on your online purchase for using this site as a middle man. Registering with them is very easy. All you have to do is to give them your name, email address and create a password. Its as easy as that and you are up and running. As I said in the first paragraph, the way this site works is that whenever you make an online purchase, ...
...money back. For example, a lot of car insurance companies will give you a good chunk of money (some upto £80) just for using them to buy your car insurance. Of course this one is quite a high amount but for your normal everyday online purchases you can expect to get a decent percentage back on what you pay. There are numerous items which, basically, give you money for nothing. A perfect example of this is LoveFilm. Quidco give you £15 for registering ...

Cashback - thanks a lot!!

Advantages: Free money for what you'd buy anyway
Disadvantages: Can be slow

Quidco is a cashback site that passes on [most] of the cashback that’s earned to the customer. Shopping websites want you to buy from them so they make a profit. Before you can buy from them, you need to visit them. But how do you know what sites are out there? Many sites are now so famous that they will pop into many customers’ thoughts without too much trouble, but even these would like more customers. The internet has developed a system of paying ...
...a new site from the one your on, the new site may well have an arrangement to pay the first site a fee. This may be a fixed amount, or a percentage of the price paid by the customer. This system has led to the formation of cashback sites whose only purpose is to refer to third party sites. By doing this, the cashback sites then earn a commission. The sites can then pass on some of this to the customer as an incentive to use their site in particular. ...

QuidCo, the cashback site that doesn't give cashback

Advantages: Nice website design
Disadvantages: Pushes shops prices up. Don't pay out.

I sign up to QuidCo almost a year ago and purchased a few items from a few companies to obtain 'Cashback'. == What is Cashback? == The way this works is simple. QuidCo advertise companies on their site and also how much they will give you to buy the product. So, they may offer 10% cashback and spending £100 would get you £10 of cashback - money that they will give back to you. == How do QuidCo make money? == There are a number of ways they make money, ...
...per year that you get in cashback. == Website == The website is very clear and easy to use. There is nothing particularly confusing about the site other than 'QuidClans'. Really, they are just best ignored anyway. == Tracking of Orders == So you log into your QuidCo account, click through to the seller from QuidCo (very important) and then order the items you require direct from the company. There some very big names in there as well as smaller companies. ...

Quidco

Advantages: Free Money, No Spam
Disadvantages: None

Quidco have been around for 3 years now, there's a competition to celibrate it on their site. They are an affiliate website, so when you buy through them, you get the commission,100% of, and not the company. However, you might be thinking where's the catch? The only catch is, there is an annual £5 for admin stuff, but this is taken from your commission earning, so in effect, your not actual losing anything, its all still a gain. Making money is ...
...made with little or no spend whatsoever. And for big cashback, insurance is a good place to start, with £100s available for renewing pet, house, car, van, motorbike etc. insurance. I think the easiest cashback available at the moment, without having to spend anything, and for a good return, is if you open an Alliance & Leicester current account, and for this you get £50. I did this offer last week, and in 6 days, there was confirmation from the ...

Once great, now awful

Advantages: None, any more
Disadvantages: Doesn't work, slow, unresponsive, awful customer service, too much advertising

Quidco WAS once the best cashback website available to UK consumers. And rightly so. The simple website allowed users to go via links to merchant sites, purchase goods and services and then the user would receive the commission/click-through and all for a £5-a-year administrative fee. And the £5 wasn't charged until you had earned that amount from cashback. All very straightforward and up until very recently this worked well. Sadly there has been ...
...has come the end of the greatness. A new, terribly designed and badly functioning website has been forced on the users and the once great customer service has disappeared. The new website is a truly awful exercise in everything wrong with the Web 2.0 experience. It is a triumph of the visual over the functional. An excess of Flash that does nothing but slow the site to an almost pathetic level. Adverts are all over the place where before there were ...

Money for nothing

Advantages: Free money, get rewarded for purchases
Disadvantages: sometimes slow payouts, £5 annual fee

There are so many cashback sites around, its easy to get confused at which one is best, but I think QUIDCO is head & shoulders above the rest (well, all the ones i`ve tried sofar!). This site really does give you free money, plus large cashback rewards for purchasing things from some of the biggest online shops etc. There are many ways of getting free money without the need of purchasing anything, usually just involving signing up to an email newsletter ...
...idea of extra emails from signing up to newsletters etc, just get a free email account at googlemail or hotmail & direct everything in there. There are 4 daily searches you can do which rewards you up to 40p per day, which though isn`t a lot, soon mounts up if you do them everyday (£146 a year for the really dedicated!). There is a lot more money to be earned when purchasing things online, for example if you get your car insurance through Screentrade.com ...
