Advantages Advantages Great Story And Action, Smooth

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bad Choice Of Save Points

Somewhere Over The Rainbow Rainbow Six Vegas is a continuation of the Tom Clancy franchise that I first remember playing on the original PlayStation. Since then I haven't played a Rainbow Six game until now. Being a fan of shooters and especially tactical shooters this game is right up my alley. Tom Clancy is a bit of a hero to me, I love his films and his games. His name has been put on some of the best games of recent years, including Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon, both games I love. So how does this first outing of the Rainbows fare on the next generation consoles. This is something of a ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages none that I can think of

Recently I decided to buy a xbox 360. Yes I know that I'm very slow in getting one. I bought the 60gb xbox as I didn't want to spend about £50 more for the elite console and I thought the arcade console wasn't that good. After I bought the xbox I had the tricky decsion of what games to buy for it. I decided to buy a blend of classic 360 games and new upcoming games. I bought the usual suspects, Halo 3, Fifa, gears of war etc. But I also decided to buy Tom clancys Rainbow six vegas as I had heard some good things about it. I have to say though that what I heard didn't justify just how good this ... more

    Advantages Advantages relaxing, good graphic.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages quite hard.

Mid December last year, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas had been released right after the release of its brother Lockdown in the beginning of the year. Just as usual, Vegas land on Xbox first (which makes PC or other consoles fans disappointed because they have to wait for long time before the same version appears on their consoles). Gamespot immediately gave Rainbow Six Vegas 8.7 (out of 10) without any hesitation. The point which is in dream of other games that released at the same time. Ubisoft really has achieved a great success with their series. In the single player’s campaign, you’ll be ... more

Well this was the first time I played one of these games it was on offer so I said to myself why not. I must say that I have not been disappointed this game is great fun and surprisingly addictive. It all started with my journey through the single player missions of the game. Number 1 Mexico Streets So mission 1 first impressions were good, the graphics were impressive and accidentally throwing a smoke grenade proved that the smoke effect was impressive. This is essentially the training level teaching you how to use the hide and peek manoeuvre, zoom, night and heat vision those sorts of things ... more

Advantages Advantages Awesome graphics, extremely playable, great online playability, PEC

Disadvantages Disadvantages Crashes quite reguarly on xbox live matches, misleading packaging

Having recently purchased an xbox 360 and played this game for approximately 2 months; I can safely say this is equal, if not better than, Gears of War. This game is brilliant fun in the single player campaign, in which it is possilbe to play cooperatively with one other player on the same system. The campaign follows the story of an elite counter-terroist team; and has a rich storyline which can easily be followed. In single player mode the graphics are truely stunning, with realistic enemy A.I (they will actually flank you, grenade you and take cover!). In single player mode there are 6 ... more

Tom Clancys Rainbow Six is now the sixth edition of the renown games. You are part of a new team assembled to take back Las Vegas from a group of terrorists. From the first moment you play this game you can tell it has been made on the Unreal Engine 3.0. This is probably the best gaming engine for the next-gen games. The new Rainbow Six game has undergone many changes. Some more obvious than others like the game-play changing from a first person shooter to a third person. Which therfore eradicates the need for the cinematic cutscenes. This is instead shown through planning your moves ahead ... more

Advantages Advantages Great tactical combat game

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

In 2007 this ranked as one of the best games that I played and definately the best on the 360 which is an impressive achievement and even with the passing of time this still ranks as a good action / strategy game.. In the game you lead one of the elite Rainbow counter terrorist groups taking on the role of Logan Keller and you are tasked with preventing attacks on the casinos and hotels in Las Vegas. Using Vegas as a backdrop means that you get lots of bright lights and more importantly lots of things that can explode and shatter. The strength of this game rests with the tactical combat game ... more

Advantages Advantages addictive, fun, play with other people

Disadvantages Disadvantages repetitive, frustrating, difficult controls

At first I hated the thought of the game, just as I hated the thought of buying the 360 in the first place (long story, which involves wanting money to be spent elsewhere, plus I've always been a PlayStation girl). Still, gradually, I warmed to the idea, especially after seeing the game in action. The game has two types of game - single player, which you play in Story Mode, and multiplayer, which lets you play with other people across the world through the Xbox Live connection. The story mode gets boring pretty quick, although it does have some advantages. The first and foremost is that it ... more

Rainbow six Vegas Xbox360 Review Rainbow six is one of the longest running game titles to date, there has been so many games with this name that it was beginning to become a little old and gameplay was dated. However, rainbow six Vegas has broken the mould in this respect- this is totally new rainbow six with some of the best tactical gameplay to date- especially on the xbox 360- only rivaled by gears of war and advanced war-fighter. Gameplay- there are numerous ways of tackling each situation, though some are better than others. You face a group of terrorists and often have to go through room ... more
