Advantages: A good plot Disadvantages: Catagorized as a childs book
This was one of my sisters books that I couldn't resist reading. I was intrigued by the name and it seemed to look pretty decent from the cover. I was really into this book by the time it got going. You follow a character called Matt that always seems to be in trouble, he's lost his parents and lives with his aunt that really doesn't seem to care at all. After yet another crime, Matt is caught by the police and questioned. He is then told he will ... ...on the right path. He's taken to the country, where everyone seems simple and incredibly boring. But Matt finds out this is most certainly not the case. As he works at he farm for an evil woman and her idiotic side kick, he finds that life in Yorkshire is not what meets the eye, and people he thinks are his friends are infact under the bewitching eye of the town and helping Matt figure out what is going on, is bad for their health. Anthony Horowitz is my favourite author ever. i have read the whole diamand brothers and alex rider series. this was a major let down for me. he said it would be an alex rider with magic but i only read half of it and really wasnt finding it exiting unlike his other books witch gget straight into the story. ...
