Advantages Advantages fun all the way

    Disadvantages Disadvantages timewaster? - nah!

It may only be the start of January but I can see Rayman Origins being my favourite game of this year, if you are looking for a break from shoot 'em ups, role play or too complex 3D platform games, then Rayman Origins takes it back to basics with one of the most fun, beautiful and compelling 2D scrolling platformers that I can remember playing. Ever. Over the past few weeks I've spent far too long being caught up in the magical world of Rayman which has proved to be a delightful place from start to finish. The Basics: Ubisoft have taken an established but recently dormant character, the no ... more

    Advantages Advantages beautiful, fun, nostalgic

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none!

Rayman has returned to his roots - creator Michel Ancel has created a truly beautiful masterpiece here in the form of a classic 2d side scrolling platform adventure! Created in stunning HD, this new version of the classic Rayman franchise is truly a work of art and is in my opinion of the most beautiful and visually stimulating games ever made. Definitely my game of the yaer so far! When the glade of dreams is over-run by Darktoons, it is up to Rayman to save the day and restore peace to the glade. It comprises of over 60 levels over 12 unique worlds of beautiful and breath-taking animation ... more

Advantages Advantages Old-school, replay-ability, great story-line, fun to the max!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Repetitive music

Fantastic game, from the opening scene we are reminded of the classic Rayman game from the PS1 from over 15 years ago, and the gameplay represents it too. The story line goes back to the roots (which you will notice when you play through the game!) with a few returning characters into the mix. Playing through the game also unlocks other playable characters from past games in the series. The trophy list takes time to complete as playing the levels at least once more each takes a lot of time in itself! The multiplayer option is a welcome addition to the franchise and works very well, adding more ... more

Advantages Advantages Gorgeous graphical style and so much to do and unlock

    Disadvantages Disadvantages No online co-op

With a distinct recent lack of Rayman in the limelight in this current generation (being overshadowed by those pesky Rabbids), Rayman returns on Tip Top form in a gorgeous and addictive side scrolling action/adventure game! This game is very long and packs enough depth and incentive to keep playing well after the final level! With many trophies/achievments to unlock and in game rewards to achieve such as finding all breakable cages, collecting "lums" (a sort of currency within the game) to achieve golden medals for all levels, in game trophies and time trials to unlock and beat rewards the ... more
