Advantages: Children can make their own milkshakes Disadvantages: Have to be a bit careful with the motor
The Ready Steady Cook Milkshake Maker is priced around £7.00 and can be bought from most department stores and supermarkets (ours came from Woolworths). It comes with an instruction leaflet and recipe booklet. The recipe leaflet includes basic milkshake recipes plus more interesting ones like hot chocolate froth.
The unit comes ready to use and takes two AA batteries. It comprises of a sealed base unit which houses the motor, the jug for the milk ... ...have a nice frothy shake, ready to drink.
After use I have found that you should rinse the motor unit UPSIDE DOWN under the tap to get any residue milk off and then dry UPSIDE DOWN. If you don't water can get into the unit via the whisk and cause it to seize up. This has happened once to me but I found by gently turning the whisk a few times it worked again. The instruction leaflet tells you not to get the motor wet but doesn't tell you how to clean ...
