    Advantages Advantages Healthy barbecue recipes

Disadvantages Disadvantages The weather can put a damper on your barbecue!!

It's summer, it's hot so that means that it's the time when women all over the country shop, prepare meats, fishes, salads etc. Wash all the dishes from that preparation, set the table and hand all the food over for the men to burn - then the women wash up and the men tell everyone they've cooked the meal as they sit and swill down huge amounts of beer!!! Here are a few healthy, low fat recipes ideas and recipes for your barbecue!! Following a diet does not mean an end to your barbecues. There are plenty of good alternatives to the burger and banger type of foods. Remember to make loads of ... more

    Advantages Advantages Easy and yummy

Disadvantages Disadvantages All the cleaning up!

One of my favourite things to do is to organise a huge barbecue for my friends and family. I enjoy cooking and always put a wide variety of food to be sure to please everyone. Barbecues are great for entertaining and social interaction with your friends and family. Here are the things I tend to do: Always, and first priority on my list are spare ribs. Personally I think a barbecue wouldn't be the same without them! Ingredients: 2lb of pork spare ribs 2x tbsp of dark soy sauce 3x tbsp of hoisin sauce 1x tbsp of Chinese rice wine, or you can use a dry sherry 1x pinch of Chinese five spice power ... more

The barbecue season is on us now, well almost if it would ever stop raining. So here are a few ideas for some home made burgers that I use. Advantages Advantages Totally scrumptious

Disadvantages Disadvantages make sure you keep some back for yourself

I decided to share my two favourite recipes for barbecues. The first one can be adapted to suit vegetarians or meat lovers. The second is very simple but totally delicious. Honey and Ginger Kebabs: you'll need: barbecue skewers (enough for as many kebabs as you are making) diced (large) chunks of beef, quorn or tofu diced (large chunks) peppers (I use different colours for brightness) for the marinade (this makes enough sauce for 6 large kebabs, if this is not enough double or triple all the quantities as appropriate): 6 tablespoons of honey 3 tablespoons of soy sauce 1 teaspoon of powdered ... more

    Advantages Advantages Umm... taste

    Disadvantages Disadvantages time

Barbeque, real barbeque, is an art that I reckon is never really mastered. When one considers all the variables involved: elevation of coals in relation to the food being cooked (after all, if one is not using charcoal, one is not barbequing; and if one is using gas, then one is broiling, only on the opposite side), cooking longevity of the coals, monitoring the temperature of the meat, smoke additions, the weather outside, the time it takes to make real barbeque and how sotted one gets in the process only name a few. As one who has made a living thus far working with foods and many different ... more

Advantages Advantages A great tasting versatile dish

Disadvantages Disadvantages Getting a sunny day in the UK!

Now at present it's a wonderfully sunny day and my mind has cast adrift to a wonderful summer spent in France with the whole family (we decided to change from Italy!) where we rented a lovely country farmhouse and we were able to eat out in the warm weather every single night. Due to the good weather BBQ food always went down well! It was the novelty I guess as really unless we are incredibly lucky in the UK to get atleast 5 days of sunshine, we tend to eat indoors most of the time! Now after the first week or so we got incredibly tired of the usual burgers, sausages and kebabs. My mother came ... more

    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages YUMMY! Excellent for barbeques or parties.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages NONE!!

Shish Kebabs These kebabs can be made with any kind of meat you like, beef, lamb, pork, whatever. My recipe shall make use of lamb, because I own two kebab shops, and have a rather large free supply of lamb!! Do not assume though my friends, that I make kebabs everyday, I don't, why would I, I get them free from my shop!! Ok, you can buy rather nice decorative skewers, or you could just pick up some wooden skewers from your local supermarket. INGREDIENTS 0.5kg/1lb lamb (cut into chunks) 4 medium onions 12 button mushrooms 150mls/1/4pt oil 2 green bell peppers (cut into skewerable squares) 1/2 ... more
