5 Stars Red Bull Mmmmmmm Review with images 04/09/2008
    User recommends the product

    Advantages Advantages Refreshing

Disadvantages Disadvantages Price, all the rumours saying it will kill me :(

I think I'm the reason Red Bull still exists, I buy so much of this stuff, to the extent I worry I'm addicted.. (apparently it is addictive) I don't remember the first time I actually tried it, but I obviously liked it. I used to buy a can in the morning before school, I probably had one in my bag for break and/or lunch too. I don't really feel it makes me energetic, I think it's more of a placebo effect, I just love the taste, I love the fact that it's fizzy, I'm a sucker for fizzy drinks. Appearance The can itself is taller and thinner than other soft drink cans, and is mainly silver with a ... more

Advantages Advantages Taste, works as advertised (increased endurance / alertness)

Disadvantages Disadvantages Potential health risks, addiction

I’m what you might call a keen consumer when it comes to energy / stimulation food and drink products. I’ve already written an opinion on the latest edible stimulation product to hit the shelves of our shops – Cadbury Boost Guarana bar – but in this opinion, I’m going back to the roots of stimulation products, with an opinion on one of the original energy products to be introduced to the market – ‘Red Bull’. STIMULATE ME! ‘Red Bull’ is, in fact, a drink – its whole raison d’etre not being to quench thirst, but to provide ... more

    Advantages Advantages Great taste.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bad for your health.

Red Bull-When I was young I tried one and thought the taste was very average, but after they sponsored a competition at my local skate park (half hour away) a couple of months back, I seem to have become addicted after re-trying it. Having to convince my mum to get them with the 'I don't drink alcohol' persuasion (I don't), she has gave in and got it for me-a four pack 2 days a go. Well, that's gone so I went to get another one, and I can say it is expensive. Most people will have heard of Red Bull since it is used everywhere. There are the cartoon adverts that for some reason don't even have ... more

    Advantages Advantages Energy!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Price :-(

Red Bull gives you wings! Well not literally (obviously), but it does increase energy. Red bull was the first drink ever to use the phrase “energy drink”, and after years of drinking the stuff I thought I would share my background info and thoughts on the product. Enjoy! Red bull does live up to its title (an Energy Drink), and its advertising (except the whole it gives you wings thing) in that it does make you more alert physically and mentally. Red Bull has been on the market for a while now, in the US, Europe and Asia. The drink is amber in colour and most often comes in 250ml ... more

Red bull? no this isn't a new breed of animal that those mad scientists have brought into being! It is infact a stimulating energy drink. I dont know If anyone else has picked up on this but I believe that red bull actually smells and tastes similar to the baby medicine Calpole have you noticed this? Apart from its distinctive taste red bull can be one of the few energy drinks to claim truthfully that it actually gives you an adrenaline rush! Although it is far from giving you the wings it claims. In the small print on th can it tells you that diabetics young children and anyone sensitive to ... more

Yes thats right! I'm back once again! Riding the kick of the Lucozade Solstis I decided to take a little look at its most fierce rival! Everyone (In Europe Australia and some of America) knows or has heard of Red Bull I'm sure, but not as many as you think have tried it! Most people think its merely a placebo used to make money...but those of us that have tried it should know and think otherwise! Well, enough of boring you, I'll Dive right in! PACKAGING Ahhh the classic blue and silver can split into four quarters with the words 'Red Bull' across the join in a bold red typeface! Just looking ... more

Advantages Advantages It gives you energy and stimulates your mind (So they say)

    Disadvantages Disadvantages It is expensive!

Red Bull is probably the most well known energy drink within the UK thanks to their massive advertising campaign that stated 'Red Bull gives you wings'. Well I can assure the parents out there that this isn't the case, so your kids won't be flying the nest just yet. Not that I recommend any parent even thinking about giving this product to their child because it certainly isn't suitable due to the high sugar, caffeine and taurine content. I must say, I am a bit impartial to a can of Red Bull, not only because I want to become an angel and have wings (although not the case), I very much enjoy ... more

Well none of us are strangers to Red Bull, we have either heard of it or tasted it. The adverts that grace out TV's saying Red Bull gives you wings to the Red Bull Minis that can be seen darting round the streets advertising with a huge can of Red Bull on the roof prove that Red Bull is the biggest name in Energy Drinks in Europe. The history of Red Bull goes back to the early 1980's, it was founded by an Austrian called Dietrich Mateschitz who travelled to Asia frequently. It was there that he came across a large selection of Energy Drinks on the Market. He brought a number of them back with ... more

Advantages Advantages Can be useful if you need to stay awake

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive and maybe addictive

Red Bull has been around for a few years and to be honest when I first tried it I hated it. It tastes a bit like medicine, being a very chemically taste mixed with fruit juices. It's a bit like Vimto mixed with car battery acid, or that was my first impression. How Red Bull was born. Back in the early 80s, Dietrich Mateschitz, now managing partner of Red Bull GmbH, often travelled to Asia on business. There he came across some very popular "energy drinks". With his uncanny instinct for successful product innovations, he brought back to Austria a small sample of the energy drinks and a big idea ... more

Now how do you rank one of the most controversial soft drinks on sale today – if you say you like it do you get guilt? Red Bull used to be a staple on my shopping list… I have been known to quaff ridiculous amounts in the past on a daily basis but found myself literally addicted to the product – whether on a mental or physical level I’m not sure. Those of you who can’t wake up without that cup of strong coffee or a can of Coca Cola from the fridge might be able to empathise with me here although I’m sure a lot of people scoff at the idea of addiction.
