Advantages Advantages Excellent story and characters

Disadvantages Disadvantages Could not put it down at times

Sophie Kinsella came to my attention after I found the Shopaholic books and thoroughly enjoyed reading them. I decided to give this one a go in the hope that it was just as good. I can honestly say that this was an excellent read which I found very hard to put down. The story is about Lexi Smart who is working in a job she hates but fortunately she has a god set of friends and enjoys going out with them. It is on a night out with the girls that her life changes forever. It is the eve of her Fathers funeral and she is out with her friends when she falls over and bangs her head. Lexi wakes up in ... more

Advantages Advantages Extremely fun and nice pace

Disadvantages Disadvantages None, according to me

You’ll Remember this Book… When it comes to chick lit, I usually go for romance stories with lots of drama, depth and interesting twists. Kinsella’s novel, Remember Me, must be one of the simplest stories I ever read- and one of the best. I have to admit that this one was so gripping that once I started the book, I literally did not put it down until I reached the very last page. I’m a fast reader! But I really found myself reading it again several times afterwards, just for the fun of it. This is truly one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. I believe that the simplicity of it highly ... more

Advantages Advantages Likable characters, simple yet enjoyable storyline

Disadvantages Disadvantages some people may dislike Kinsella's writing style

Since Reading the first two books in the Shopaholic Series I have became a fan of Sophie Kinsella, and out of all the books I have read there isn’t one which has disappointed me in the slightest. There has been one book which I thought was going to be a letdown as the story was pretty boring for the first couple of chapters but it soon picked up after that and was a really enjoyable book to read. Remember Me? Tells the tale of Lexi Smart, 28 year old Lexi Smart wakes up in a Private London hospital and has the shock of her life. She has been in a car accident and has lost 3 years of her memory ... more

    Advantages Advantages Very enjoyable

Disadvantages Disadvantages none i don't think!

Sophie Kinsella is probably best known for her Shopaholic books which I haven't actually read any of but have heard some very good reviews on. I borrowed this book from my daughter after she recommended it to me and I am very glad I did as now I would like to read more of Kinsella's books as I enjoyed it so much. The book opens with a chapter about Lexi having a night out with some friends where she falls whilst waiting for a taxi. The next thing we know Lexi is waking up in hospital and is confused about what has happened. The only thing she can recall was the night out and having tripped up ... more

After reading The undomestic goodess by Sophie Kinsella I decided to read some of her other books. Now that my exams are over I have time to read books for fun instead of having to read boring textbooks. I do like chick lits and I like read books that have at least some believable parts. Lexi Smart is 25 years old working in the flooring department of Deller carpets. She is a junior and she is yet to be acknowledged for the great work she is doing at the company. She was rejected for a company bonus because she has been with the company for less than a year (by a day!) add to the fact that her ... more

I've been into Sophie Kinsella books since I got one of hers free with a a magazine and i've read all her books. She is more famous for the Shopaholic books and has only done 3that are not part of the Shopaholic series and this is one of them. So what's the book about? The main character is called Lexi Smart. A happy go lucky female, who isn't exactly setting the career world on fire, but I guess a bit typical of most of us. She lives in a basic flat, earns an average wage, has a boyfriend called "Loser Dave", relationship just plodding along and not really going anywhere. Just happy to make ... more

    Advantages Advantages Soooo addictive!

Disadvantages Disadvantages wasnt long enough! i wanted it to go on forever.

I'm not really the reading type, but i found it about to be thrown out and thought its never to late to try! :) I started reading it and found i had an obsession the book was amazing! i was completly glued to it. It took me about 2-3 days to finish it and i would not hesitate to read it again. With most books i have actually read i found that the story lines were completley impossible, and i think 'no way could this happen in real life' but everything seemed for real. I would be so grateful if this book was ever made into a film, i would love to see the actors chosen to play the characters. I ... more
