I was given this Remington hair straightener as a present about a year ago. Before using these, I was using some Vidal Sasoon, non-ceramic straighteners. These took a long time to heat up (and when they did they weren't all that hot), and they did not actually make my hair any straighter! ...lying unplugged on my drawers. Remington recommends you don't leave them plugged in for more than 30 minutes. The cable can be a bit dodgy if you tend to wrap the cable around the straighteners. If you do wrap the cable around the straighteners, be prepared to have to buy a new set after a while. Mine have lasted me over a year so far which is good considering they cost me less than £20.
