Normally i would advise avoiding cheaper brands of straightening irons, because they tend not to work so well, but i bought these when my expensive ones broke and i hadnt been paid, just as a temporary thing, and i am so glad i did. These work so well! My hair went poker straight first time, without any frizziness, and i didn't even need the temperature settings because they worked so well on all of them. The result is really good, GHD standard without ... ...all with this product, they are pretty durable and last a long time without any breaking, even with frequent use. You can lock them shut if you want, with a little clip at the base- i never use it myself but i imagine it would be pretty usefull. The irons are pretty wide, which is really useful for thick hair, but will work fine on thin hair too. And it is easy to use them to make curls or waves because they dont have annoying edges. Quick review of Remington S 2013 Ceramic
Fabulous ! I have used GHDs and Kodos and these are far better AND much cheaper. I bought these as an emergency whilst waiting for some GHDs to be delivered but I have decided to send the GHDs back and keep these. They heat up quickly, have 5 heat settings up to 220deg. I have only used up the 3rd setting and they work excellently. I have thick hair and these suit me fine. They do not snag (like my kodos did) and they are very smooth to use. They come with a heat mat which GHDs don't..... I love them ! Highly recommended. (GHDs are highly overrated and overpriced in my opinion and no better than these Remington's) ...

...i had a similar previous remington model without the whole on/off button. It broke about in 9 months. Fell on the floor a few times and in the end fell again and snapped in half so i got lookin for another pair.. Even though i should of looked for a different brand, I couldnt help myself and in the end these turned out to be soooo gooood compared to the old ones. Leaves it straight and everything you would expect a good straightner to do. A little ... ...their at a temp that you can touch it (warm) wipe the plate with baby wipes to remove any marks left on it from like hairspray or something you put in your hair, cause then this residue builds up and its just nasty to use on your hair :) forget ghds. BUY THESE! ...
