Kylie - The Clio 1.2 16v Dynamique

Advantages: Fun, cheap to run and insure, stylish and safe.
Disadvantages: Leaky sunroofs.

...is based on a 2004 Renault Clio 1.2 16v Dynamique. After having an accident in my previous Clio (a 1.6 16v Dynamique) I set out looking for a new car, eventually I found myself (after much looking) the following car… A 2004 Renault Clio 1.2 16v Dynamique in flame red, the colour I really wanted, my previous car had digital climate control and an electric sunroof so I purposefully found a car that also had these features. Being the 2004 model it ...
...did replace it with a Renault option stereo the Sony CDX-MP40 which worked with the Clio display and Steering wheel controls. Despite all the technology and gadgets in the car I was always disappointed that there wasn't a light in the glove box despite the fact that the glove box was also air-conditioned. On occasions the sports suspension fitted to the car as standard (being as it's a Dynamique model) did feel a little hard, but only really on ...

A bit of je ne sais quoi (Renault Clio 1.2 5-door Authentique)

Advantages: beautiful, lovely drive
Disadvantages: safety

The renault clio 1.2 5 door is my first car, for now over 4 years and I have loved every moment driving it. ===Car Specs:=== Make: Renault Model: Clio Variant: 1.2 Dynamique 16v 5dr Colour: Black Fueltype: Petrol Bodytype: Hatchback Transmission: Manual Doors: 5 Power Steering, Electric Mirrors, Electric Windows, Adjustable Steering Column, Remote Central Locking, Immobiliser, Head Restraints, Height Adjustable Seat, Abs, Child Locks, Side Air Bags, ...
...===My opinion:=== The renault clio has been a lovely drive from the day I bought it. At a modest 1.2L engine, its light bodywork has meant it has not detracted from its acceleration. The car drives extremely smooth and despite its compact size it is extremely spacious inside. My car has only driven approximately 25000 miles, so I guess it has not had the time on the road to deteriorate, even so, the car still feels as if I have just bought it. In ...

My Clio

Advantages: space and looks good
Disadvantages: uses too much petrol and insurance is high

Hello, this is my first review, so please bear with me while I get the hang on this. I bought my Clio in August 2005 brand new. I have to admit I don't clock up many miles! My car is still quite new and even has that new smell in it. I bought the Clio because I wanted something different from a Corsa, they are too common and plastic like. My Clio is black and that shows up all the scratches, it looks good though. It has five spoke alloys that I ...
...handle, if you don't want to go fast you don't have to. It has a 6 CD changer in it, I think that was an optional extra, it is very good and sounds amazing when it is turned up loud. The inside has enough space for five adults, a big bonus of having five doors means the back seems slightly bigger than a three door and people can get in and out easier. The Clio does use more petrol than some other small cars, it might be because it is a 1.2 or because ...

The Clio - Smart, pretty and perfect for small people!

Advantages: Economical, comfortable and fun.
Disadvantages: Sometimes feels a little slow, if you're tall it might not be for you.

The Clio, is a fantastic little car. There are so many good points to it. I really like the way it looks, compact and round, it reminds me a bit of a chubby baby. The interior is smart and doesn't seem cheap, unlike other cars I've driven. The extra's you get on the Dynamique version are worth the extra money e.g. the air condition, heated wing mirrors, automatic windscreen wipers and my favourite, the automatic headlights. Ecomonically it is brilliant ...
...only being a 1.2 litre engine and I've not had any problems with mine so far. I'm no expert on the 'drive' and performance of cars but the Clio works for me. It's a good little run around and the 16V give it that extra kick. There are times when after driving my partners larger engine car, that the Clio seems quite slow, but then I didn't buy it for it's speed. There are many things that I like about this car but probably the thing that sold it to ...

Renault Clio

Advantages: Automatic headlights and wipers.. sports seats
Disadvantages: noisy sunroof

I bought this car back in May 2007. Mine is a black, 53 plate and cost me £3500 from a local dealership. As it's nearly top of the range you get the bucket sports seats. These are unbelievably comfortable. I drove all the way to Alton Towers, which is 170 miles from me, and was very comfortable throughout the whole journey. No numb bum LOL It handles the road very well!! It is also good on petrol..if driven sensibly. Quite a nippy little car for ...
...of yet. The only downside is the sunroof. I don't know if it's a common fault or not but I think there's a problem with the seal. it can be noisy while driving.. I just cover it up with my music. The automatic headlights and wipers are cool too..especially if your lazy like me lol! Headlights can be a pain sometimes though.. they come on while driving in multi story carparks and such lol! The boot is very spacious for such a small car too! The ...

My experience of owning and driving the Renault Clio Dynamique

Advantages: Automatic wipers and lights. Low running costs.
Disadvantages: Honestly can't think of any

...the proud owner of a Renault Clio 1.2 Dynamique for just over seven years now. I usualy change my cars by at least their fourth year, but with the Clio I have been reluctant to give it up. I still love the shape, style and look of the car. I have added extras to the car. Like front lower spoiler and side skirts and upgraded the wheels. Its metalic black with a kind of gold fleck through the paint work which really works well together. I still get ...
...running costs are minimal aswell. On average Iam getting around 42mpg to 45mpg. That is also driving around town and on the motorway. The interior is also still right up to date. Sports seats with driver height adjust, and split head rests that can also be adjusted to come closer into back of your neck and head area. Rear head rests also as standard. Iam also very impressed with the "as standard" electrical features. Automatic window wipers. So if ...

Quick review of Renault Clio 1.2 16v

Too big the old clio was perfect.. new clio nice shape but too big... you need the 1.2 TCE 100 engine at least to get it going... Fuel consumption at around 47 mpg not brilliant for a 'small car'..... Expression comes with manual air con but if you upgrade to Dynamique air con is an option?..... clever trick by renault to get more money out of you... But dont panic the old shape clio is still avaiable new so go for that one, although limited specs available. ...

Renault Clio 1.2 Dynamique! Excellent Car!

Advantages: Good MPG, Cheap insurance, looks sporty, cheap road tax
Disadvantages: Renault build quality isnt brilliant! But none the less a great car!

...i had always loved the Renault Clio. I had decided i was going to save up and buy one as soon as i could learn to drive. I had done alot of research into the Clio and was very impressed with the spec the car could offer. The 1.2 16V engine kicks out 75bhp, this may not sound alot, but they do shift when they need to. The car has got 6 airbags, 2 front, 2 rear, 2 side. This gives the car that 5 start saftey rating. The Dynamique looks a very sporty ...
...car is great for young drivers, especially being on a Insurance group 3 it doesnt cost a silly amount to insure. Unlike most cars these days it doesn't drink petrol like there's no tomorrow. I get an average of 40MPG driving round town and about 50MPG motorway driving and about 65-70MPH. Excellent Car!!! Answers to first person to comment on my review. The driving postion isnt great for me personally. I am 6ft 2", I have to have the seat all the ...

Typical french quality from the clio

Advantages: Cool looks, sleek curves
Disadvantages: quality of build

The clio is such a cool car to look at with its sleek looks and curves, but been a clio owner myself i know that they are far from cool. i have several friends who also own clios and every single one of them has had problems with the exhaust, gearbox, and evry single ones seats have broken! I think that this is possibly due to the quality of build that the clio has, the seats are so cheap that every single clio owner i have spoken to has had some ...

good value small car

Advantages: economical, reliable and a nice drive
Disadvantages: going up hill can be a struggle

I purchased this car in 2001 and have been happy with it ever since. It it very economical to run and with the exception of having the motor for the driver's window replaced last year no other mechanical work has been needed. Although it is a small car it feels quite spacious inside with a reasonably sized boot. The back seats lay down which means you can carry large objects (I've had a washing machine & oven in mine !). The driver's seat is adjustable ...
...2" this means you can have the seat higher up to get a better view whilst driving. It does have alot of features as standard such as the alloy wheels, electric windows and electric mirrors. Insurance is quite cheap. With respect to speed it can do around 120mph which is mor ethan enough and picks up speed well on flat ground. The only time that it needs more power is when going up hill as it can take some time to get into 3rd gear! ...

First time buyers view...

Advantages: Low insurance group, looks good when modified, nippy enough!
Disadvantages: Very common, recalls & Renault service not so good.

I bought my Clio brand new in July 2005, as my first car I've been fairly pleased with it. It is reasonably priced, good on insurance, isn't too bad for petrol (currently getting 35.6 mpg), and is just quick enough with a full car load of people - although it feels a lot less of a struggle when it's just you in the car! I have, however, had to pay a couple more visits than I'd have liked to my local dealership - once for a recall on the computer, ...
