Driving - although my previous car had a smaller petrol engine I cannot believe how much smoother and more nippy this car is, it is a pleasure to drive and the fuel consumption is fantastic already (diesels don't reach optimum consumption for about 4000 miles) I am getting about 150 miles more for a full ... ...the dealers appear to let Renault down a little, my car took 7 weeks to arrive but I think this is normal for Renault but did arrive a day earlier than the expected date. Customer Service has been good so far but then nothing has gone wrong so far.
All in all I love my new car and would recommend it to anyone and everyone. ...

Advantages: Economy, reliability, comfort Disadvantages: small boot
I've owned a 1.5DCI Dynamique from new (2004) and have covered 63,000 miles. Had a couple of minor things fixed under warranty, door handle paint and steering column knock(?), despite not buying the car from a Main Dealer they honoured warranty repairs. Cheap Road Tax, Car Insurance, comfortable, lots of toys and economical. The only unusual fault was an intermittent STOP / OIL indication, which lasted a day or two - suspected wet electrics when ... ...time I was a bit unnerved by the complexity of the electronic systems, 7 units talking hooked up to diagnostics, but it settled down. That was 6,000 miles ago though. Interestingly the stalling of the rear wash wipe (common) is a s/w fault, in my case I didn't bother mentioning this until the STOP light problem, but it could have beenfixed under warranty otherwise - though new hardware (ECU) is required for my 2004 car - don't know what else this ...

I owned one of these from new for 6 months at the end of 2003. In that 6 month period I actually had it for 5 months, the other month it spent in the garage over 6 different times. I bought the car for its looks and for the various gadgets you get as standard.
Having never owned one before I was unaware of the full features thus never knew how they should all work. It turned out that the keyless entry was supposed to open the door when you hands ... ...key opening option is supposed to let you open and start the car with the key card still in your pocket, it did some of the time and others failed to do anything. I also payed extra to have the sun roof fitted. This gave you a full glass roof (front to back) of which the front opened completly. This stuck on several occasions to the point that it would try to close but returned to open after sticking. I had to use my hand to force it shut whilst ...

I am currently leasing a Megane Oasis, through an employee deal at work (Lookers in Northern Ireland [Charles Hurst Lt.d]).
The Oasis is really a base trim, with some extras from the higher models.
You get a panoramic sun roof and air con., electrically folding, colour coded door mirros, keyless car (just have the key in your pocket and it unlocks when you touch the handle, etc.)
Although the key being a square credit card shape has its disadvantages ... ...more bulkier.
Front fog lights and an arm rest come as standard too.
It's got some nice features for a low trim level.
I particularily like the fuel economy. I am very heavy right footed and still manage around 50mpg, and with the 60 litre tank can see easily 650 miles between fill ups.
The panoramic sun roof is grear; gives the car a more airy feel, and at night there are blinds for the roof to close off outside, giving a warmer feel in the ...

...great deal of innovative technologies Renault launched around 2001-2002; the Renault Card keyless ignition system, standard on the Megane II, was a first in this class and has since been widely adopted. Similarly, the option of a panoramic glass sunroof is another area in which Renault led where others followed.

Advantages: Just brilliant, 60+ MPG Disadvantages: Get wet when opening boot
I bought this car for my wife on a personal car lease.
We are only paying £180 per month for a year with no deposit. It is about £1500 cheaper in the first year than Renault.
It is a very good and practical car. Fantastic fuel consumption. On a careful run you can easily get 50-60 MPG. A tank of diesel is lasting my wife at least a month.
The is plenty of space in the car with loads of storage.
The CD player is very good as too is the air conditioning.
