Resident Evil Zero... why not Alpha or something?

Advantages: Fun! Zombie killing! Fantastic graphics and audio!
Disadvantages: Short. Erm... not very long.

...don't worry son, it's only Resident Evil Zero playing it's tricks on you Dolby Surround Sound style. This game is so much fun you will play it until it's early in the morning and fall asleep without even realising it. The dark room? That's just the curtains still closed then. This game is one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played on the Gamecube. Thanks to Capcom's decision to make all the latest Resident Evil games for the Gamecube, you ...

Resident Evil Zero for Nintendo Gamecube

Advantages: Graphics, action, music
Disadvantages: Similar sound and gameplay

Resident Evil Zero” for Gamecube, well it had to happen sooner or later, seeing that Capcom perhaps used up all the stories for their Resident Evil franchise. They now came up with a new angle lets make a prequel for the first RE1 Game. I think prequels are now going to be the fad in games, when a game company runs out of ideas. LOL The plot here is fairly thin, like all RE Games the story revolves around a virus and it creating mutated monsters ...
...nto the famous mansion from Resident Evil One. From then on the bulk of the game takes place both inside, outside and beneath the mansion as you fight zombies, mutant dogs, lechers. Graphics: **** out **** The graphics were great extremely sharp and detailed. CAPCOM as usual are able to create the most lifelike characters on screen complete with many different facial expression, 3d modeled environments and textures and beautiful cut scenes to further ...

Beginning of the End

Advantages: Graphics | Great story
Disadvantages: Controls | Not too high on tension

...As far as prequels go Resident Evil 0 is probably one of the most important one in gaming terms that we are going to see for this decade. With each passing game the plot has grown more complicated and even with its sequels there have been contradictions arising from them. Now the time has come to explain everything to fans of the series. How the T-Virus managed to escape, how the Alpha team of STARS met their demise and how Rebecca Chambers found ...
...are not as powerful in Resident Evil (there are no Crimson Heads) but they are far more varied. When the action changes to the labs of Umbrella you will be greeted to the sights of mutated and violent forms of species of animals, from the rabid monkeys to a giant bat. While this may stray slightly from the zombie routs of other games the variety is welcome if sometimes a bit too tacky. Another big change is the lack of chests. In previous games items ...

...games genre and series of Resident Evil. As the title said ReE Zero the prequel to the Original Resident Evil that first came out in 1996 then 1998 and 2001 for the Remake version. The storyline of this game brings you gamers the begining and events before the Resident Evil incident that took place in the Mansion(Spencers Mansion). ...rounds is similar to the Resident Evil Remake one in it. Ammo for this gun is scare and each round is deadly so use it wisely, keep it for the biggest and toughest bosses in the game. This game uses a unique co-operative system of playing both characters together and by switching to the one you want to control the other is controlled by the cpu. Even evil has to start somewhere

Advantages: Solid graphics, fleshes out the Resident Evil storyline
Disadvantages: Questionable gamplay decisions, frustrating mechanics

Ever since Resident Evil burst onto the scene back in the heady days of 1996, I was hooked on Capcom's survival horror series. The combination of puzzle solving, dodgy tongue-in-cheek voice acting, frantic gun battles and imaginative monsters was, for me, the ideal gaming formula. The original game received a welcome overhaul for the Gamecube a few years ago, and when a prequel was announced focussing on the ill-fated Bravo Team, I was intrigued. ...
...same game engine as the Resident Evil remake. The pre-rendered backgrounds are detailed and imaginative, and the character models are well realized and expressive. The soundtrack is moody and evocative, and the voice acting, while not exactly oscar-winning, is at least competent enough to get by. Set the day before the events of The Mansion Incident, Zero follows the adventures of STARS rookie Rebecca Chambers and her Bravo Team comrades after their ...

Disadvantages: May cause heart attacks.

...beer or Eastenders was cancelled. Resident Evil Zero will scare you in a whole new way, beads of sweat will gather on your forehead, your hands will tremble as you open a door and you will scream like a little girl when a zombie lunges for your throat. Resi Zero redefines terror as you know it. In the game you go back to where the Resident Evil saga begun and uncover the sinister secrets of the umbrella corporation. You begin as a member of the ...
...The puzzles in Resident Evil Zero are more mind boggling and frustrating than in the previous games. The game has everything a survival horror is meant to have, and oodles more. There are many never before seen enemies such as the overgrown leeches that are desperate for blood, monkeys that hurl themselves at you in an attempt to tear your limbs off and bats that swipe at your eyes. Of course the old favourites such as the zombies, rabid dogs and ...

If it aint broke...

Advantages: Exceptional graphics, great set pieces, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Disadvantages: Controls as ever, no real improvement on the originals, the spine of the game is still ps1 based

...returns in this new prequel, Resident Evil 0! It's the old zombies and mansions formulae but now you've got a friend to help. Want to find out about the origins of the mysterious Umbrella corporation? Then look no further. Resi 0 starts on a train travelling past Racoon Forest when something goes wrong. S.T.A.R.S. agent Rebecca and escaped convict Billy must team up to stop the speeding train and find somewhere where they can call for help. Hey, ...
...main factors of Resident Evil are present as ever. The unbelieveable photo-realistic graphics and the ancient clunky ps1 controls. Why Capcom have never updated these is beyond me. How simple would it be to add a free 8-direction movement system? This should be in place for the upcoming Resident Evil 4 though. The music is as stunning as the graphics too, and I haven't even started on the cut-scenes yet. They're probably the best you'll find ANYWHERE! ...

Flesh Eating Fun

Advantages: Fantastic game, compelling gameplay
Disadvantages: Scary as hell

Resident Evil: Zero Discover the root of all evil and go back to where it all began. Resident Evil Zero takes you back to the very start of the series and shows you just what went wrong. You start as Rebecca Chambers, the latest S*T*A*R*S member, who is investigation the bizarre murders in Racoon City. However the helicopter she is in has to make a crash landing in the forest and she discovers that serial killer, Billy Coen is on the loose. Whilst ...
...intense. It wouldn’t be Resident Evil without the low lighting and the nerve-wracking background music. The game has an unhealthy helping of violence and gore, which brings a whole new sense of panic to the gaming experience. A bevy of weaponry is available to help Rebecca and Billy mash enemies and advance through the game. Many items are round and about to help you on your quest and letters to show the sick plotting behind the outbreak and who ...

Good but not the best Resident Evil!

Advantages: Awsome Graphics,Multiplayer is Excellent,Scary,
Disadvantages: Is a bit long at times, Back tracking,

Resident Evil Zero The game that started the horror. (Well resident evil is the original but Zero is set before the mansion incident) This game is excellent in the genre of horror. I recently played the game in the dark and it was not a good idea. I am still scared to sleep with the light off! Anyway the game starts with an excellent FMV of the S.T.A.R.S alpha team members searching the woods. Rebecca Chambers the youngest of the group (18) stumbles ...
...to safety is shut, there is no turning back' You know you are in for a scare when those words pop up on your screen. While fighting through the first set of zombies you will meet Billy Coen the prisoner on the way to death row. I don't want to spoil anything else as you need to play the game to experiance the buzz that i got. Excellent Graphics! Superb idea with the multi player! All in all a good game but not the best of the series :] ...

this is it ultimate resi evil

Advantages: its back better then ever
Disadvantages: control system

this is the ultimate resi eveil title, out there. it has all the usual kicks and scares with ew weapons to send those zombies packin to hide under a cover. the game features one of the best play system ever hich is renowned to work. u play two characters at the same time. Billy and rebecca (from resi evil 1), u can switch between them by the push of a button. another advantage is that u no longer have to wrry about findng a box to put stuff in. now ...

Amazing step forward.

Advantages: Great Graphics, Excelent Game play, Ties it all together
Disadvantages: too short, too easy!

an absolutely fantastic game, Play as carlos a convict or Rebbeca a rookie to S.T.A.R.S and as a first in the ressy series Switch, yep you can play as both, play as rebbeca and move Carlos with C, but heres whats great, the team mate acts as extra storage. But with constant sepertation and splitting up, you better plan ahead, items can be left on the floor and repicked up another first, and a long time puzzleing item has been removed, the item crate ...
...style of the PSX days (not getting back up and going through doors). well enough of the new stuff whats the story like? well its just as perplexing as the others, only brought together by the end, Rebbcca on her first mission looking into a disterbance (telling you about what happened to bravo team in Ressy 1) at the same time carlos escapes bravo team find carlos escort to a higher contained prison. the questions begin to arise, what killed the ...
