Frustrating and disappointing

Advantages: Great graphics, nice array of weapons
Disadvantages: Frustrating gameplay, lacklustre plot, rubbish inventory system

The Resident Evil series has come a long way since the original burst onto the gaming scene back in 1996. The graphics have improved, the cut scenes have become more cinematic, the character models have become more expressive, the plot has become more complex, and the voice acting has... well, pretty much stayed the same. But it also lost some of its freshness along the way. Resident Evil 4 did a lot to rebuild the series' credibility, combining ...
...2009, and it's time for Resident Evil 5 - a game that's been several years in the making, laced with controversy and burdened by sky-high expectations. Does it live up to them? Taking place in an unspecified African state, Resi 5 follows series stalwart Chris Redfield (now looking like he pours steroids instead of milk over his cornflakes in the morning) as he's sent in to investigate a potential bioweapon outbreak. Needless to say, it's not long ...

Resident Evil 4 - But Prettier!

Advantages: Superb Graphics, new features
Disadvantages: Still feels like RE4

...expecting yet another leap! Resident Evil 4 did this, it was an amazing feat! Full 3D action, new camera viewpoints, much better voice acting (Seriously, the voice acting in the first few games was beyond dire!) and a whole new type of enemy! It was loved by the critics, fans and even pulled in previous skeptics of the series. So, when I heard Resident Evil 5 was coming out on next gen consoles, I was expecting something special, yet another huge ...
...this isn't the case with Resident Evil 5. This sequel should simply be called 'Resident Evil 4 - But Prettier!'. The only actual huge improvement are the graphics, which I can't fault, they are simply stunning, but after such a long wait, I was expecting something much more... well, just '''more''' really! '''Story''' Well, okay here is a small summary of what the hell is going on. Basically, an organisation is searching the globe for any traces ...

Resident Evil 5

Advantages: great graphics, lots of weapons, lots of different mutants to keep you interested
Disadvantages: can be too easy on some levels

...us have heard of the Resident Evil franchise whether it be the movies comics or console games, Resident evil began back in 1996 with the Playstation it was a global success that eventually led to Resident Evil 5. Resident Evil 5 has come a long way from the spooky old mansion with zombies and mutant dogs, it has now got bigger and better. You are Chris Redfield assigned to go to Africa and find a man about some pretty crazy bio chemicals that could ...
...mutants and some old from Resident evil 4 this is the type of game to keep you on the edge of your seat if you take your eye off it for a second you could find yourself been eaten by mutant dogs or chopped up by the one eyed chainsaw freak, this really isn't the game for everyone but if you love a good horror than this is the game for you, its packed with fantastic graphics great storyline, and good laughs if your playing with friends. If you are ...

Great co-op game

Advantages: great co-op play, graphics, levels, characters, weapons and upgrade system
Disadvantages: DLC competitive mode, combat system

...story, just a hint (watch resident evil: degeneration goes great with this game) the game play is like rezi 4 the lazer aim system and knife, which im not really a fan off. but the story line and the stunning levels and characters make up for it in my books, also the designs for the infected and bosses are breath taking as well as the wide range of weapons and ultimate weapons. the co-op system of this game is a pure work of art. as it replaces ...
...world. now this is great if you have just started and they are feeling kind to help you find great treasure and weaposn within the game (this is the case of 98% of rezi players that are helpful) my one major fault with this game is the DLC competitive play. you play something like £3.99 for a game where you stand in one play shooting at eachother to get points. first of all they use the games combat system which i think does not favor a verses mode. ...

Everything it's prequel had and more...

Advantages: great grahics, increadable sound, replay value and nice controls
Disadvantages: Poor camera angles, unfair AI, verses mode could be better

...complained about the controls of Resident Evil 5, though I think that they are actually an imrovement on Resident Evil 4's due to the addaptive controls towards being surrounded but many enemies. Plenty of replay value with many unlockables such as different costumes, gae art and extra weapons make this game one that you can certainly play through more than once having a lot of fun at the same time as being challenged. One thing I would complain ...

Resident Evil V

Advantages: unique storyline, large range of weapons and skill based operations.
Disadvantages: no multi player funtion

Resident Evil 5 is probably one of the more enjoyable games over a wide range of of gamers due to it's smooth gameplay, a wide range of weapons and all sorts of different creatures to defeat in a unique strategised partner system through the slums of Africa to defeat the most terrorising zombies to come out of a Resident Evil game to date. But the thing I liked the most about it was the difficulty levels they have provided to test you to see if you ...

It was alright, but Resie 4 was better

Advantages: good music sound and grahics
Disadvantages: bad replay value charcters and vs mode

...to keep this short: resident evil 5 is a good game but could've been sooooo much better. I think that resie 4 was a great game for all reasons: story, acting, music etc. the gameplay in resie 5 doesn't even compare to the gameplay in resie 4 nor does the replay value cos you don't get anything worth while other than costumes and even they aren't great. they should've kept the concept EXACLY the same as resie 4. even a complete remake of resie ...
...is really, really hard as well. i spent about an hour trying to figure out one of the puzzles and got cornerd too many times by the zombies to count. and it doesn't help you when you run out of ammo so it's a bit unfair in my opnion. all in all, i think this game was alright but overshadowed by resie 4. hope my review helps you. ...

Disadvantages: You can't play alone and enjoy

Resident evil 5! true i though it would never happen an online resisdent evil well not quite but 2 player over the net is a very handy feature for this game as the AI for the other charecter is perfetic and does nto acutaly help at all, so if u get this game make sure you have a friend with it aswell and you can enjoy it together as it is a great and challenging game which puts you through your limits whether its great big boss battle lasting up ...
