Advantages Advantages Mercenaries mode is fantastic and there is co-op story mode for online or with friends!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Weak story and no ZOMBIES!!!!

RESIDENT EVIL 5 The Resident Evil games have been one of my all time favourite game series. They have been very successful and films have been made because of this but I feel that most of the films are not even like the games. Resident Evil 5 is of course developed and published by Capcom. Capcom are also one of my favourite game companies and they have released many top notch games. Resident Evil 5 is available on a wide range of systems including the Xbox 360. There are also other editions of the game available including Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition for the Xbox 360. The game has a lot to ... more

Advantages Advantages Great gameplay. Great graphics. Fun and exciting. Quite long. Great extras. Great value.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not one for younger teenagers.

Resident Evil 5 for Xbox 360 Decision to buy If you’ve read one of my game reviews before you will know that I am more prone to waiting for a game to drop in price or hit the ‘used games’ shelf than I am to paying full price for one. You can pick up some bargains on the used shelf after Mr ‘I need to buy it before anyone else and finish it in one sitting without food or water’ has finished with it. Some might argue that I will miss out on online play because everyone will have moved on to the ‘next big thing’ and they may be right but I like to enjoy a game and explore it fully and for the ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Multiplayer

Loyal gamers old enough to have played the original Resident Evil and its two successors on the first Sony Playstation console will be surprised to find the new setting for the ever popular series, spanning across the world into far stranger environments. The first of the series set up the story inside a massive creaking mansion, the second saw two protagonists find attempt to find refuge in an infected, overrun Raccoon City (the third included the almighty 'Nemesis') and No.4 outreached to a rural area of Europe (possibly near Spain). Now the franchise takes us to somewhere far less developed ... more

Resident Evil 5 - First FULL GAME REVIEW ------ Introduction ------ This is a review of the new resident evil game for XBOX 360. It doesnt contain any plotline or ending spoilers so dont fear! The game was released March 13th 2009 but i just got my copy this afternoon and have been playing it non-stop! Its addictive gameplay at its very best! The game focuses on the role of two characters in an effort to get rid of a virus that is spreading across the world. It has a very "28 days later" feel to it i think. The main character, who you play in the solo campaign, is Chris followed closely by his ... more

4 Stars Where are the Zombies?????? Review with images 25/07/2010
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Online play, Great movies and sound effects and mega cool graphics

Disadvantages Disadvantages No zombies and the game is too short

Resident Evil 5 features very similar gameplay to Resident Evil 4, with context sensitive controls and dynamic cut scenes making a major comeback. This Resident Evil takes place almost 11 years after the original Resident evil. Resident Evil does have its major good points but it also has its bad points. The good points being the graphics are spectacular, the A.I is pretty good, there isn't any weird camera controls like on past Resident Evil's and there are some really detailed monsters and bosses but the bad points are the games too short and there are no zombies which is what made the ... more

Advantages Advantages Partner can be helpful, Fast paced action

Disadvantages Disadvantages Inability to move whilst aiming, Partner can also be annoying

Summary The arrival of Resident Evil 5 was eagerly anticipated on Xbox 360. Personally I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading through various bad reviews that had been written based on the demo version, but I preordered it anyway. So, yet again we play as Chris Redfield (who seems to have undergone an extreme makeover) and this time we have been sent to Africa on an investigative mission to find out about the virus that is now spreading across the world, accompanied by our partner Sheva. Now this is a new addition to the Resident Evil games, I mean there was Ashley in Resident Evil 4 but ... more

Advantages Advantages Fantastic game, 2 player, upgradable guns, various levels of hardness

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

The resident evil 5 on xbox 360 is the only version of the resident evil games I have actually played, so I can't comment on its differences between the series or how well the game has been improved. This game, along with call of duty has to be my most favourite of all time. ***About the game*** The game can be played in two player on one screen or online using Xbox live. I play this game on one huge TV with two player and although the screen usage drops dramatically, I still find it OK to play. However I probably wouldn't recommend using two player on a small TV as it may be harder to see and ... more

Advantages Advantages Great story, graphics. Good replayability value

Disadvantages Disadvantages Controls take a while to get used to

Resident evil 5 is the latest game in the series and one that finally ties in all the loose ends from the predecessors. If however your resident evil knowlegde only comes form the hollywood blockbuster (like me) rest assured you will still enjoy its plot and storyy telling narrative The graphics are by far one of the best too date and cinematics always seem to suprise you. The music score is good in some places but its the sound effects that really shine making you turn your character just by hearing a low growl from the corner of the screen. Gameplay and control takes a while getting used to ... more

Advantages Advantages new, tells the story, good graphics, evil

Disadvantages Disadvantages too short, not focused enough on gameplay

I will start by saying that Resident Evil 5 is a fantastic addition to the Resident Evil Series. It really brings the story together about where Chris went to and what he did. It also includes other characters, such as Albert Wesker. It is set in an unknown African area which is lead by somebody or something. Graphically, this game is fantastic. It is much smoother and better looking that its predecessor, Resident Evil 4. The facial expressions of all the characters, including the "zombies" is very detailed, and you can tell that a lot of effort really went into it. What do you expect after 5 ... more

Advantages Advantages Great Multiplayer and impressive visuals.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Terrible A.I. partner and controls can become annoying.

Being 18 i unfortunately missed the start of the Resident Evil franchise, i was "much too young" for the gore and violence of the games. So when my Dad recently offered to buy Resident Evil 5 so we could play it through together i jumped at the opportunity. We could only play at the nigh,t as I have a younger sister, and the dark only added to the atmosphere. After having played through the first few chapters together, both my father and I came to the same conclusion, that this was an all round fantastic game, and there was not a lot that could be improved. Our main worries were the controls ... more
