When it comes to Mascaras I have found that it can be very hit and miss to whether or not the mascara lives up to the claims. Over the years I have tried endless different ones some more expensive than others and its amazing how many of them are a total let down. Advantages easy to apply, evenly coats all lashes, separates and curls lashes, gorgeous purple tube

A few months ago I entered a competition to win one of 10,000 Rimmel Sexy Curves mascaras on Rimmels website. I don't normally win anything but the odds here were pretty good so I wasn't overly surprised when I received one in the post. I like to change my mascara tube every 6 months for hygiene reasons. I am a bit paranoid about getting eye infections, especially as I use contact lenses. Advantages Makes lashes look more volumised, pretty bottle, cheap
Disadvantages Doesn't make lashes look more curvier, gave me sore eyes.

I always like to try out lots of make-up from different brands to find the best ones for me, and this was the case when I bought this mascara by Rimmel when it first came out. I paid an introductory price of £5.99 for this from Boots in the shade Intense black, this and the fact that I like a lot of other Rimmel products being the main reasons why I bought it. Every now and again I do like to change up my make-up and try new things out. I find its way too easy to find yes a great product but then become almost addicted to it or to just buy the same item out of habit. Or to just save the hassle of trawling through all the various brand names as well as the million of different types of the same thing they sell! I've got nothing against anyone who sticks to a great product they've found (this does save a LOT of hassle) but I can't help but feel that if I did this I might be greatly missing out. I have tried so many mascaras and the only one I have found so far that I am happy with is a Clinique one which is expensive so I mainly use it when I’m out at night or weekends. I kind of gave up finding a cheaper brand mascara that is really good, until I heard about this. My friend bought it when we were shopping together and was trying it out when we got home and it worked really well making her eyelashes look really long and full. Advantages Gives you a natural appearance, long lasting
Disadvantages Nothing maybe a little bit expensive

I have tried many different styles and brands of mascara over the years and have never really stuck to a particular one, that was until I tried Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara. Whilst I do still try new varieties, this is the brand that I buy most often. The Packaging The tube the mascara is metallic purple with the words Rimmel Sexy Curves Full Volume & Curve Mascara written down the length of it. Usually, I’m very loyal to Maybelline when it comes to buying mascara. However, the one I normally buy wasn’t available so I had to choose something else and that was Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara. Currently, this will set you back around £8 if you buy from Boots although I paid about £6 for mine while it was on offer. The mascara comes in dark purple packaging which is quite like any other mascara. The tube is made from plastic but has a metallic look to it due to the colour. Prior to buying this product, it was safe to say that I was not a huge fan of Rimmel cosmetics- I always considered them to be slightly chavvy and not great quality either. That said, when I was in a pinch and needed a low-price mascara, and saw that this one was only £5 on an introductory offer in Boots, it quickly found its way into my basket. Nearly two years later, it has not left my make-up bag and I always have a tube or two of it handy! Advantages Easy to apply, works well, simple to remove, looks great, thickens and curls.
Disadvantages Light 'peeling' sometimes which can be unsightly.

I wear make up on a daily basis and foundation and mascara are really my essential must wear items. I always ensure that I am wearing foundation and mascara even if I am really pushed for time or just running down to the shops. This might make me sound vain but I really don't care as I feel confident when wearing some make up and that can only be a good thing for me. Because I use make up on a daily basis I tend to get through foundation and mascara like it is going out of fashion! I bought this from Boots last week as I am a bit of a makeup addict... as you can probably tell from the amount of makeup reviews I write!... and I have a special weakness for mascaras. I had seen the advert for this product on TV and I have to say it did look pretty cool and when I saw it on the shelf it definitely stood out- I bought the waterproof version so it is the same packaging as the picture but it is metallic blue rather than the purple shown.
