Hello, I have been reading these reviews as I am considering this product. Firstly, there are 2 different products listed as the same here, the single hair, and the scaning wand. As an ex-laser therapist (SLP1000, 4yrs) I would never even think of treating a single hair root- this is a silly idea even for a professional. Also, as this product is "safe" for untrained consumers, it is a very very low wattage,compared with "real" lasers at 40W per pulse. ... Read review

The rio scanning lazer does 20 hairs at a time and is perfect for home use . I have been going to a clinic for 1 year having unwanted hair removed ,which was painfull not to mention the cost . The rio is painless,also you have the advantage of zaping the unwanted hair as soon as it comes . Advantages: Portable, great for home use, easy to use, very effective

I have tried machines that only do 1 hair at a time before and I gave up quickly because it was so time consuming. The Rio isn't too bulky and it is very simple to use.
