Advantages: Very clear user instructions, professional finish, adequate tools for the job (eg. good sanding blocks provided), long lasting strong finish Disadvantages: Only natural tips provided, you have to get white tips separately if you want a French manicure effect, takes a long time to do (allow at least 2 hours) but worth the effort!
I bought this product a few weeks ago and have enjoyed it with very good results. The instruction manual describes what you need to do very well, and there are pictures to show you exactly what you need to do.
I did not use the tips provided in the pack as I wanted white tips (not provided), but otherwise followed the instructions to the letter. The result was nails that looked really natural and have been strong enough to withstand the rigours ...

This is a very good product if you read the instructions carefully and stick to them. Otherwise you will not get a good result. First of all, I would put too much gel on to my nails - I prefer just to do my own nails and not use the extensions - the result of which is that even after using the UV lamp the nails remained tacky!! Now, I have learned to put just one thin layer on, I use the lamp for an extra minute, 4 mins instead of 3 and my nails set ...

...my nails! I bought the Rio UV gel nails kit to try and help me stop with such a discusting habit but found myself just peeling off the nails after a few days anddoing the whole process over again. It takes a while to learn how to prepare your nails and apply the extension tips and smooth them in but once you get the hang of it its fairly easy. I didn't like this product i expected it to take time as i love doing my nails but the gel i found didn't set like it should and i was walking around with my nails sticking to everything =s Also in my opinion i found the light didn't do much i got mine when they first came out so maybe it has been improved. The other thing with this kind of thing not just this in particular they dont sell the extensions in argos and such like so you have to mail order with a lifesytle like mine i forget such simple tasks half the time i forget to eat
