I have a Snooper S2 and a Road Pilot Micro Go running side by side.
The Snooper is perfectly reliable and `locks on`very quickly giving lots of confidence, also giving an immediate warning of lasers.
The Road Pilot sometimes takes forever to `lock on` and constantly `drops out` sometimes missing cameras.
I am also constantly pestered by the message that it needs updating in X days, and it does not respond to lasers.
I would say that price for price the S2 leaves it standing. ...

Advantages: Good unit and price. Disadvantages: Not compatible with Windows Vista x64
I recently purchased a RoadPilot microGo, the second one I have bought. As a unit, they are excellent, however software compatibility may make you want to avoid due to the fact that the sync software to update the unit is not compatible with Windows Vista 64 bit and RoadPilot have no current intention of changing the software to support it.
I had this email from their customer service manager which I am sure you can verify with them:
Dear Mr xxxxxxxxx
... ...into your problem further, unfortunately, I have to advise that the RoadPilot Sync Software is not compatible with vista 64 bit only vista 32 bit. I have spoken with our Technical Director and he advises that at present there are no immediate plans to change the software to incorporate compatibility with 64 bit. I am sorry you are experiencing this problem, however, if you can download your microGo via a windows 2000, XP or vista 32 bit environment ...
