    Advantages Advantages An environmentally friendly option for the garden.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not stereo.

    I bought this for my husband for Christmas and the gloriously sunny weekend was the perfect opportunity to put it through it's paces. We charged the unit up from the mains and then took it out to the garden where we set it up in full sun on the grass. Finding our chosen radio station was dead simply using the A-Z search and reception was very good. The volume was great for us to listen to as we worked (painting the fence) and at one point our neighbour asked us to "turn it up" as her favourite track was playing... we didn't even need to turn it up to maximum for her to enjoy listening with us ... more

    the solar dab radio is a good idea if you work outside or if you want a radio without any trailing cables in the conservatory. its small and light, won t cost anymore on batteries because it comes supplied with a rechargable inbulit battery that is charged by the small solar panel on top of the radio, onced charged will work for upto 27 hours. it also will work of the mains with the supplied mains adaptor. the solar dab comes in a range of colours including black, white, red, green or even pink. the DAB tuner is good has it will pick up a range of dab stations avalable in my area. you can also ... more

    I received this for Christmas and I love it, but that may be more because I have found Radio 6, rather than this radio itself. It's a lovely robust design that sees service in the workshop, in the garden and in the kitchen. It is very easy to find station and the ariel extends. The solar panel does not charge the battery sufficiently to run it all day. I have had to find a transformer which I use to top it up. It is a shame that the DAB radio takes up more power than the solar panel can provide - but it is nice to be able to top it up when the sun is shining. I like the simple design and the ... more
