...me a bottle os Madame Rochas parfum de toilette for my 21st birthday. He bought it in Jersey (duty free, what a cheapskate).
Despite that, it remains on of my favourites. I buy it when "housekeeping" money can run to it, whcih has been more often over the last two years, as all sorts of places (eg John Lewis, Perfume Discount) have been selling it at half price.
It is "floral", but sufficiently intense to use sparingly (thank goodness due to normal ... ...Whenever I wear Madame Rochas (bear in mind that I am of mature years), all sorts of people (male and female, all age ranges), comment on it.
I have found that some fragrances do not agree with me (Chanel No5, for instance). They go "stale" and smell "cheap". On me, Madame Rochas is not one of these, but it will clearly vary from person to person.

Advantages: Good value, delightful aroma, gorgeous packaging Disadvantages: None really
...women of any age, Mdm Rochas is a more sophisticated and 'grow up' blend, more suited to the more mature woman. Coming in the most gorgeous 'lacey' patterned box and sophisticated shape bottle with gold lid it is ideal for those special occasions; weddings, evenings out etc. Not really a daytime fragrance, in my opinion (although I have been known to wear it through the day from time to time).
